Carrier AT&T Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Just wanted to add my 2 cents to the thread.

My company's phone guy ordered my iPhone X 64GB Space Gray yesterday through AT&T Premier 11/28 about 6PM Eastern, with an estimated ship date of 12/5 - 12/12. After about an hour the status changed to "Preparing to ship". The order number starts with a 10. Hopefully this means the estimated ship date is very conservative. But judging from what I've read in this thread, maybe not.

FWIW our phone guy said that the carriers sometimes re-allocate stock out of the batch for business customers and into the batch for regular customers during the holiday season if there is a huge influx of orders.

I ordered the same phone on 10/27/17.... many days before you without a status update, still at "in progress".... happy for you, but AT&T is on my crap list.

I just find it so weird that older order are still "in progress". Seems to be no rhyme or reason over there at AT&T.

The 64GB are easier to come by, from AT&T website if you select the models they are showing 256/SG shipping in 3-4 weeks. I believe T-Mobile is showing that 256GB Silver is their farthest out for new orders.

You would be mostly correct. At least my SG 256 unit. We did have one SG256 delivered two weeks ago out of the blue and one SG64 last week. All were from the same single order done 34 minutes after preorder open on 10/27. Still awaiting my SG 256....

istocknow is showing there bunch of AT&T iPhone X available in stores compare to none for other carriers.

My order has been preparing to ship since 10/27 so I am not sure you are any closer. One of the indicators I am looking for is the disappearance of the "Cancel Order" option. I think once that is gone it is either shipped or very close.

did you order through premier? I'm in Alexandria, VA. Preordered through premier on 10/27 and still stuck in progress since day 1... After all this I'm done with At&t on my personal for sure.

Hey, I did not order through Premier. I ordered 2 phones on the morning of the 27th. A silver and an SG. We got the silver the next week. The SG was ”In Progress” with a Dec 1-15 window until early this morning. I actually was going to cancel today if there was no movement. It was just too weird seeing people that ordered at week after I did get their phones in a week or less. I began to wonder if I really need it. I believe Apple has phones at the Woodbridge store. I’ve seen a lot of Prem folks getting biffed. You have my sympathies. Good luck.
