I sold my series 0 space gray sport and bought a mint condition series 0 stainless steel w/ sports band off eBay for $275 (42mm). I can never go back to the aluminum. SS feels like a totally different watch. It feels real not like a toy. I just can't justify the price for the series 2 at this point.

I don't need built in GPS since. I never go running without my phone. I keep it on me for any emergencies. So built in GPS is pointless for me.

I really don't go swimming so water proof isn't an immediate need for me.

The speed increase would probably be nice but I really only use the apple apps and they are pretty fast on watchOS3. 3rd Party apps are just not useful yet to me.

I think I am going to go with the 1 model behind method. The savings just 1 year later are incredible. I was an early adopter for the series 0. NEVER AGAIN.

I bought my wife a 38mm SS w sports band Series 0 from best buy open box for $216 before tax.

dumb sh*t UPS driver delivered my watch to the street behind us. we were out and got my email it was delivered. checked my doorbell camera and was never alerted anyone came by. got home and there was nothing at my door, I was PISSED! called UPS and of course they're no help. texted my friend my tracking number since he works for UPS and said he'll check it, he had just gotten back to the hub and was talking with his supervisor when my neighbor from the street behind us came over with the box. FU UPS. Supervisor said he'll address it to the driver and call me in the morning. scary thing is my wife's 38mm AW is set to be delivered Wednesday by UPS also. I hope I'm here when he delivers. I also hate that they always deliver LATE. it was 7:30 when they said they "delivered". I've gotten one at 9pm once from UPS. FedEx, I'll have it in my hand by 2pm, never later than that. another reason I HATE UPS and never use their service.

I usually do In Store Pickup for bigger ticket items such as this to avoid just the type of horror story you mentioned.

I've experienced a similar occurrence with UPS deliveries within the last 6 months as well. I've had 4 different packages delivered to my next door neighbor, who gets a fairly large amount of deliveries on a regular basis. I thought it was pretty strange, since I have Amazon Prime and get my fair share of deliveries, and am at least a little familiar with one of the regular drivers. My theory, based off of other forums discussing this issue, is that UPS puts burdens on their drivers to get their deliveries done faster than they're capable of, so to circumvent this, they deliver packages to neighbors who they assume will then "finish" the delivery. If it happens again, I do plan on contacting UPS, but I'm afraid if the cause is as I assume, it will negatively impact my UPS drivers, who in this case are simply being pressed too hard.

I was considering buying the Series 2 but I couldn't pass up this deal! Ordered the 42mm SS w/ blue leather loop... arriving tomorrow. Thanks OP for the heads up!

I don't think hardly anyone thought the high price of such an Apple product, Stainless Steel version would come crashing in value so hard and so soon.

Painful really as, unlike a "real watch" in not that many more years time it's only fit for the garbage bin.

Scary how this has happened.

I remember many saying Apple will offer upgrade services to upgrade your watches.
That didn't happen!

The trouble is when you are buying a new product for a premium that offers no added functionality whatsoever except for design and materials, you cannot set high expectations for resale value. It's like buying a brand new top-of-the-line Mercedes; the value plummets the second you drive it off the dealer's lot.

The reason their laptops/desktops/iphones hold value relatively well is because the prices generally correlate to more features, more storage space, etc.

38mm Space Black Link (to replace my 38mm SS Milanese) still In Progress... (Ordered Saturday)

Gonna polish up my SS version and either sell it, or give it to my little brother (and sell his Alu version)

The other day I snagged two for my (soon to be) wife and myself! Best Buy in Orlando had a perfect open-box they dropped to $230 and I added hers at the sale price of $299. So, for $529 I bought us both new SS 38mm SS models with black Classic Buckle bands, for $120 less than the original retail price was for a single watch. We both had 42mm Sport models and I was a little concerned about going with the 38mm but honestly, I like the smaller profile and the build quality is wayyyyy ahead of the Sport. I work in professional settings as a consultant and the 38mm is more subtle and professional looking than the bigger 42mm. Watch OS3 is running great and we love the performance so not really missing the tweaks of S1 and S2.

Selling my previous Sport and giving hers to a family member. Anyone interested in a nice Sport with extra bands? Great shape, great price!

Seems Apple wants to ship AW to customers instead of having them picked up in the stores. Wonder why?? It took AW0 a very long while before they were available in the stores. Manufacturing issues with With Best Buy having so many AW0 to sell it hints that Apple didn't sell as many as planned.

It was a bit shocking to me as I had to quickly lower my price to sell my AW0. Knowing what people can buy at BB in a new sealed box, I guess I did okay, although mine was a 42 and all the "steals" on BB are for the 38.

With the waterproof seal I don't think it will ever work out economically for Apple to let us pay for an "under the hood" upgrade. When I had the AW0 I thought maybe Apple would offer that option to at least the Edition watches, but I think it's clear now that "under the hood" upgrades won't ever happen.

anyone who purchased applecare+ w/ your AW through best buy, did you get a certificate confirmation email from apple or best buy? i got my watch last night but never got any email regarding my applecare+. i checked on apple's website and shows it's not active though my order through best buy shows AC+ as "active".

I couldn't resist and bought a 38mm Space Black with Link Bracelet. The band alone is worth more than $349. I already have a SS 42mm so I will now have options and more bands hopefully for the future.

I want to exchange my SG Series 1 sport i paid $299 for. And put up another $50 for a 42mm SS first gen with the blue leather loop. I would keep my white silicone band i bought for my SG and use that for the gym and casual use. I also probably would sell the leather loop on ebay and end up paying LESS for what i paid for my Series 1 for the SS.

I let my fiance talk me into the series one, because she thought i would regret not getting the faster one. But from the tests i seen its not a night and day difference. And i only use the watch for notifications and stuff like that.

That makes sense right? I am in the gym 5 days a week so i thought the sport would be better. I do like how the SG is stealthy for the gym, don't want to stand out with some bling. But i could just use my white apple silicone band i bought. I would look to get a nice leather distressed band for out on the town occasions to match with the SS.

BUT... My one worry, if i go today and exchange i feel the watch might be "back ordered" a day later after i order it lol. Putting me back to square one and without my watch for a few days, which isn't a huge deal. But i have really enjoyed it using it in the gym controlling my music so i can leave my phone in my gym bag. In any event it is showing free 2 day shipping and i will get it on the 29th if i ordered today.

I have a gen 0 running Watch OS3 and the performance increase has been significant. For me the new one is not enough of an improvement to justify the cost and the sapphire screen is worth it alone to go with the gen 0.

I think so to. I'm going to head there now and exchange it and order the SS gen 0 so I get it by Friday via 2 day shipping. What do you think a un used leather loop goes for on eBay? I would prefer to sell and possibly get my my own distressed leather. I assume at least $60?

I already have a white silicone band to go with it in the mean time & I am in the gym 5 days a week. I'm wondering if the blue or the white leather loop is a more popular seller.

I returned my Series 2 38mm SS with modern buckle band because the new case with more depth was just too big and awkward for my wrist which is small. I bought the original 38mm SS with modern buckle band on Best Buy and saved $400. I wanted the newest tech, but really don't need the waterproofing and GPS so ended up with a watch I'm happier with and saved a lot of money. It will be fast enough for my needs.

I would think that the blue one would be more popular. When selling on eBay I usually search for what I am selling and then filter by completed listings to get an idea if the item is selling and how much it's going for.

I ended up picking up a open box Space Black with a silicone band from my local BB for $299! Had a $25 reward card laying around so it came to $275, basically what I paid for my Series 1 sport aluminum. It's like new charger was never even taken out.

I did originally want the space black but I thought they were gone. Well they were via the site.

PSA if Anybody wants to buy a flawless open box Series 1 SG with black silicone band. I'll give you a nice deal, worn for essentially a few hours. I have a 100% eBay with over 80 transactions ;) Just figured I'd give someone a shot at essentially new one for a discount of the newly released series 1. I haven't even used the black band, I put my white one on it right away.View attachment 660096

For clarity, and please put it more prominently if there really is a difference between 0 day launch and Watch OS2 (guessing here).. what are you talking about when you mention Series 0?

This is why I have stuff shipped to my work. This is also why I hates AT&T since they would only deliver to you billing address. Now I buy my iPhone out right.

There were some 42mm steals too, but they ran out quickly. I got a 42mm space black stainless with Milanese for $249. Cracks me up seeing posts on Craigslist trying to sell a similar or cheaper model of $350 or $400 after being used for a year.

Series 0 first gen
Series 1 the upgraded first gen Watch with new processor
Series 2 the current gen Watch with the gps, additional water proofing, etc.
