I don't have an iPhone but I do have a silicone case :D haha
[doublepost=1509648299][/doublepost]Still set for the 10th unless they receive stock before then... so thats a no. Looks like I'll be cancelling my order tomorrow :(

Asked CPW about SIM-Free iPhone and here's their reply:

most handsets sold by Carphone Warehouse come with either a UK or EU restriction. We won't be able to guarantee the handset will work with a foreign SIM and purchasing one would be at your own risk.

Update for any Northern Ireland orders.....
Eventually my parcel number is working on DPD site and my order was last scanned in Birmingham at 04:00 this morning.
Going on past experience it’s debatable if it will make it now for store delivery on Friday. As they normally don’t deliver on Saturday either, it’s might now be Monday for me.
Surely there's still time, it doesn't take that long to cross the Irish sea. Also, according to their website they do have Saturday deliveries.

I knew this sounded too good to be true....

What a con.

Guys, let us know when your tracking works, mine saying it was delivered on April 7th and still isn’t showing in the app is quite disconcerting

It all depends on what service/tariff it was originally sent with. Some of my DPD orders take +1 days longer to arrive than mainland. Again Saturday deliveries usually only occur it was spec'd at cost by the original sender.

I checked in the store where i had preordered my 64GB space grey one. They told me its confirmed and they should receive it max by 2pm for store collection. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I was under the impression that this nonsense had been done away with for iPhones purchased outside of Apple sim free
It has they are talking **** as usual.

Yeah, but you could still get the phone unlocked by your network, right? So even if it gets locked to the first SIM, you ca just get it unlocked by your network and then use it on any UK/overseas SIM you want, just like any other unlocked phone?

I am buying the phone sim free so I expect it not to lock too any network and operate as one purchased from apple

Asked CPW about SIM-Free iPhone and here's their reply:

That's only because a lot of countries (especially in Asia) require central registration of mobile devices for them to work with their cell networks. So a most phones purchased abroad will not work in those countries. CPW are probably covering their butts here by saying they don't guarantee it.

It will be fine.

The courier will be sending you tracking information and delivery time slot on the day of delivery, we initially thought the orders for the iPhone X was going to be delayed, however we received feedback today it will be sent out tomorrow, and this could be the reason why you have not received tracking information.

Live chat how true lol god knows

Update on the delivery, I also had the problem with a lack of house number like many of you, rang DPD and they did the ‘deliver to my neighbour’ option and just set it to my address

Well I’m picking my one up at 9:30 on the dot at my local CPW store so I’m looking forward to it.
