iPhone X Combined | iPhone X Yellow / Blue shifted Display?

At what angle are people generally experiencing the Blue shift? I can notice it on my display with very little movement both up and down and side to side.
 
they say that the iOs 11.1.1 beta 3 (it has just been released) fix the yellow in TT mode ON. Can anyone confirm or contradict that?
 
So I decided to order a 2nd one for comparison, and WOW huge difference. The 2nd unit I had, had a very strong purple hue with 1 degree movement which wasn't present on my original. The 2nd unit also exhibited a more yellow white balance but appeared slightly brighter. This really is a lottery. I'll be keeping my original, heh. Now I know what people are referring to now.

Was at the Apple Store yesterday comparing my phone X to 3 others. 2 were display models, and one was the Genius helping me new X. All 4 phones had totally different color screens. From pink to blue to yellow. The 2 display models had the least amount of color shift, but still very noticeable. Mine and the Genius had almost the exact same extreme shift to blue. He didnt seem annoyed by his, but I think I got him to start thinking about it 🙂 I left though, as they didnt have any of my phone in stock. He took my name and will be holding one for me this week, but it doesnt really matter....I just bought an 8 plus 🙂 The X is getting returned. The OLED just does not agree with me (I've had many other OLED phones with no issue, however). I'm hoping the latest rumor of an LCD in a slightly bigger X is true. I'll happily buy one next year.

We notice the difference mostly in the keyboard, where her keys are discernibly more "white" and mine appear a little more warm. But she actually thinks my display is truer to real life and looks as if the UI was painted on. She thinks her display looks more like a "computer screen" because of the cooler color temperature and blue shift.

To me it's just a real ugly looking feature, you want something easy on your eyes lower the brightness, instead of making your screen look basically a warm yellow.

I've tried it on mine, my fathers, and the ones in the Apple store and all look to be that aggressive yellow. Even if they lowered the aggression of the feature I'd never use it.

I like my brightness to be somewhere in the range of 60-70% and for my screen to exhibit deep blacks with a cool white look coming from whites. Essentially I have that with my 2nd X after returning the first model. All in all there's a huge inconsistency with the X at the moment if you have super sensitive eyes as I do, I notice stuff like that with phones as soon as I view the screen for a few minutes, sometimes as soon as the splash screen.

There's no work around, your screen is either...

A-really warm with yellow tones

B-less warm with pale yellow tones

C-or classic oled with a cooler color temp and a whiter tone...can actually vary between pinkish white, bluish white, or stark white.

My first x was B, while me second is C with whites looking fairly white with a very slight hint of blue when tilted back and fourth.

What about this? Yes I’m ocd I know. There’s a faint pinkish border that goes all around the screen. It’s barely noticeable. Should I join the display lottery?

No I don’t. I have been using the new one for the last few days and the difference is amazing. In my office at work my original one would look really dull and yellow under the lights (yet looked fantastic and cool under the lights at the Apple store). This one isn’t nearly as bad. It does still change under different lighting but all my previous iPhones have done that. There is hardly any shift which is good so I am still happy. If it matters the other phones had serial numbers starting with F1 or F2. This one stars with DNP

Mine is also DNP and it has a bright uniform screen. There is a small blue shift though which is characteristic of OLED. Overall, I’m really happy with mine.
 
I have one starting with DNP But I have been looking closely at the screen and compared it with different display units at the Apple Store + compared to my previous iPhone 7 + (All the below with TT off and NS off):


1st and without any comparison, I saw my screen warm and then coming slightly pinkish and then gradually blueish when turning the phone on the right or on the left looking at it via those different angles.

2nd when comparing my iPhone X to my previous iPhone 7+ then I can see clearly my iPhone 7+ much whiter when looking at white background or by looking at the setting screen. Also before that I have never thought that my iPhone7+ has really a cool color since it has warmer color than wife one. Note that I feel my iPhone X brighter than my previous iPhone 7+

3rd when I have compared my iPhone X with a couple of iPhone X from the Apple Store display then mine looks much brighter for sure (for checking I had always turned off true tone and set brightness to max but they were less bright than mine). At the same time the display models were less warm than mine. I have indeed noticed that the color shifting is almost always slightly different from one iPhone X to another.

So the good is that my screen is really bright... OK but in another hand my screen is warm and I would need to play with the colour Filters to set it closer to what I would expect.

4nd I have noticed another issue with my sim tray which is popping up on the bottom. I have tried to do everything even pushing very hard but it can't go deeper on the bottom side while the top of the sim tray is fine.


My conclusion is that I don't think that the serial number will really make any difference on the phone production quality.
