Hey OP...did you try what I said in my post above to see if this REALLY works?
I think you need to have the same friend as he has at AT&T to get this to work.

I wouldn't do that if I was you because you will lose MMS. like I said earlier dont take shortcuts.
i got it to work following the instructions but it kills my visual voicemail
in VVM type acds.voicemail in APN. No login or password. got VVM back
I seriously doubt this many people are "messing up a step"
still working flawlessly
You would be surprised. Read all the threads there is people that can't even update the carrier file. Many people got it to work using this post and it is still working. read the post Only advice I can give is once you get it to work dont go messing with setting in cellular data and dont reboot phone.
5. Log into ATT and under your number if you still see an iphone manually switch it to the mms capable phone. Go to features and change it to a regular text plan not an iphone text plan. (If you currently have family iphone text you will have to change it to the 1500 text plan then change it to unlimited family text (not iphone text plan).
so basically it works only if you do a hack. this isn't really a real way to make it work. why can't everyone wait til att makes it ready. then all we will have is threads of? it wont work now i restored or how do i make it work officialy with att threads. ugh. just wait people
does this affect the bill? i dont want to have a huge bill because of the switch, my family uses over 20 thousand a month. it would not be pretty...
Can someone who has gotten this to work PLEASE try to tether then send an MMS and then go see if your tether option is still there...I am pretty sure it WILL NOT still be there.
This is going to be another one of those things thats popular for the first week then fizzles out. The MMS messages most people are sending say "Tell me if this works" to their friends. Once they verify it works you will suddenly sit back and realize nobody really wants your pictures on their phone.
Just like youtube video uploads and how they spiked 400% with the iPhone 3G S launch. It was a new feature, but its no longer new so I expect that number to dwindle down very fast. People were uploading videos to test it and play around, but once they have tested it the usage plummets.
New toys are fun for the first week.
it only worked for like 10 minutes!!! what do i do now?
idk but mines is still working and i just sent a video
how long has it been working?
