I use Edge every now and then… it has ad block extensions as well. I like what Microsoft has done with the UI… what sets Samsung Browser apart for me is the amount of customization. One particularly feature being able to remove the status bar when scrolling… allows for a more immersive browsing experience (UDC kind of ruins it though lol).
Yeah, I don’t think I’m moving up to the double fold… staying where I’m at lol.
Just as I thought… they plan on just making it slightly taller & wider. Not a fan of the move, because improvements to the other foldables will be minor.
Oh, I never noticed. Great question. I have AOD enabled on cover screen but there doesn't appear to be an option to enable it for the inner screen.
Oh, that Auto. Yes, mine is also set to Auto. Interestingly, the "When To Show" option is grayed out when viewing AOD settings on the inner display (yet it lets you "enable" AOD from the inner screen).
I believe that’s how it was on my Fold 6… Samsung wouldn’t allow you to enter AOD on the inner display. It took me by surprise to have options when unfolded.
Looks good. But I think the video footage is a bit misleading because it's slightly cropped to fill the screen of the proposed model. He mentions "almost 16:9" & "nearly gets rid of the black bars" but shows footage without them.
I like the cutout for fingerprint and rockers for volume as it makes finding the sensor easier as I seem to struggle sometimes with the F8 over my Fold7Ringke case in the house for some days when I'm not with carbon fiber look and now just waiting on my matching ring / stand to come in for the pistachio days
If wider but same height you would hope there is room for an SPen 🙂
It's very good on the fingerprint definitely makes it easy to find and I've already gotten used to it being a little bit chunkier than my Aramid cases..
Yep I open the F8 far less frequently than my fold7 🙂
Samsung absolutely COOKED with this form factor. And I think it will remain my foldable of choice, even after the announcement of the iPhone Ultra, solely due to the symmetrical design when closed.
Well that’s not a good sign, seeing as you paid extra for the internal screen.
Seems a bit un-Apple like to have an asymmetrical design, but I think most people who are already on IOS won’t be concerned with that & should be just as happy as people here are with their Fold 8 added to their ecosystem.
Most people use the cover display of their foldables more than the inner display. It's just how it is. I bought the Fold8 BECAUSE I wanted a compact phone that has the battery life of a big phone, and can effectively become a big phone when/if I need or want it. And I do use the inner display to consume media.

When i say i use the F8 outer screen more than my 7 previous folds, I was coming from a 95% inner screen user to now more like 70% and its far more app specific now on whether I use inner or outer
That looks awful! I'd much rather continuing to enjoy full-screen photos on a 4:3 than lessen my movie watching experience by using a phone rather than a TV.
