I think it is a vey small upgrade, I think Apple realizes most people are going to upgrade watches every 3-4 years. Now I am upgrading because I want too, but there is no need for it.

While I’m sure we all appreciate you keeping us in the loop regarding your purchasing plans, with hundreds of millions of people buying Apple products each year I’m not sure that kind of inclusiveness scales…

Maybe wait to start a thread until you have something interesting to share?
Or don’t read and comment on the post if it bothers you? 🙄

So are you saying that you can't ever call anything meaningless without being a hypocrite? So if someone starts a thread that says, "Ar liz un gheu lt eit" and I reply to the thread to say it's meaningless, that means I actually think it's valuable? LOL!

To your first question, no. To your second question, yes you find value in taking 5 minutes out of your day to let the world know your view.

In the case of this thread, people are just trolling .

Of course it’s not a great upgrade if you have a series 6. New Apple devices aren’t meant for the previous year devices owners rather than older ones.

The question is why you ordered it in the first place? From the keynote it was clear that it’s a minor update coming from the series 6.

this update sucks.
It's not supposed to be a huge Update for an owner of the previous generation. There are several small tweaks every year. Sometimes they seem more important and sometimes it is something someone has waited for a long time. This time it seems it is not for you. So why did you order one in the first place?

I kind of agree it’s not worth the upgrade from the S5 and S6. Although whatever floats your boat.

I was on the fence but I think it I’m going to upgrade my SS S4 to an aluminium cellular S7. I live in a different country now and the cellular in my S4 doesn’t work here. I think that’s worth it.

Although, if the design changes next year to what was originally rumoured for the s7. I’m definitely going to get that in steel.

People ordering the Watch will hate you and tell you to shut up 🤣
Oh they already did.
For the record I’m keeping my Series 6 this year. But I don’t think it’s worthy of starting a thread. It will be as boring as the Watch update itself.

The people trolling are consistent with it, I’ll give them that….

I didn't realize it took 5 minutes to type "this post is meaningless" (or similar). Also, I believe the OP is the one trolling. And sometimes tangential conversations occur within threads like these - that doesn't mean the original post was meaningful.

I just think it's funny when people use this silly comeback, trying to make someone look like a hypocrite with no logical basis.

Another common one is someone will say something derogatory about another person, and that person will say "I don't care what you think" and the other person replies, "yOU ObVioUSLY Do carE SincE yoU RePlIeD" Uh, no, simply saying you don't care doesn't mean you do care, LOL! Now if the person who said they didn't care then continues to reply over and over to try to defend themselves, THEN you can call them out for hypocrisy.

Another one is when people point out that someone is complaining, and someone jumps in and says, "SO You'rE cOmPlaininG aBoUt peOPLE cOmPlAiNING." No, simply pointing out that someone is being negative or complaining doesn't make you negative or a complainer, at least not in the same sense.

These shallow comebacks are just ways to dismiss what someone else says instead of addressing it.

If you’re coming from the 6, it’s only logical that this is a very minor upgrade that is not necessary. However, for earlier models, I can see the appeal. My pattern so far is 1,3 & then 6 so can only assume my next one will be 9 haha.

Every year I am always surprised at how upset people get that they can't convince themselves to spend hundreds of dollars on a new gadget to replace their existing one. Oh, the humanity.

Is there usually much of a sale at Christmas?
Not necessarily holiday-related, but if you're fine getting the entry-level watches (and most iOS devices these days) you can definitely get $20–50 off certain models fairly regularly. Apple hasn't historically been a big Black Friday/holiday discount place but that's changed a bit (even if it's just giving you credit/gift cards for the same prices.)

If you were fine with a product red Apple Watch, you could get them for $329 for a huge chunk of last year (which surprises me that there's a red this year, given I assumed the discounts were because they weren't big sellers.)

Of course you do 🙄🙄🙄

Why the eye rolls? It's pretty obvious - no different than the threads where people dramatically announce that they're leaving Apple after 20 years, etc. He posts "this update sucks" with a huge-a$$ screenshot of his CANCELLED Apple Watch order. LOL! Yeah, totally balanced, non-trolling post there. Oh, and if you're still not convinced, check out his signature:

My SS is not scheduled to ship until November 2nd so I have plenty of time to change my mind as nothings wrong with my AW6.

That’s the problem with shipping delays: too much time to reconsider.

SS resale is barely $450.
$300 upgrade.
Not a good plan.
