Deleted Facebook off my phone, used safari more and focused less on Twitter and Snapchat.

Still not really making any difference, I've pretty much gave up now with this phone.

I will be going to Apple in the new year to try and get this sorted. Hopefully they can give me a refurb that is on 8.0.2 software or lower.

Really can't be bothered with a phone that doesn't last as long as my old iPhone 5.

I can tell you that when in the UK I experience MUCH worse battery life than in the US. The signal is so weak on EE and O2 in so many places (especially in built up areas of London) that the phone has to jump between signals so often and that kills battery life.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the major issue for you. I can't remember which networks have LTE, but if you turn off LTE (if you have it), I'd bet that solves your problem. Bouncing from LTE to 3G over and over kills battery. I'm experiencing that issue right now in Seattle with a bugged-out tower on AT&T.

That's correct. In Milan I have at least 1 hrs usage time more than in Rome, where the signal is somewhat spotty.

Excellent Battery life on my mini 2, iPhone 5s however...... Horrible

3hrs 30min on a good day, also have been having a problem on my 5s with the screen becoming unresponsive every 5min or so like clockwork! Tried a reinstall, set up as new same thing...

Registered my UDID today and now on 8.2 B3 getting a little better battery life and no unresponsive screen problems :)

I just went from jailbroken 8.1.1 to stock 8.1.2 and so far on my first charge battery seems to be just as good as it was before I jailbroke. I also restored from the backup I created right before I jailbroke. Being off from work today my usage is much lighter than it might be. But so far, 2 hours of usage and 15 hours of standby and 90% battery left. None of it is music streaming with the screen off either. I wasn't impressed with battery life while jailbroken so its nice to be back to the way it was before hand.

I will definitely need to continue testing and drain the battery a few times so we shall see how it goes.

Standby time seems worse. Dropped 6% while sleeping for 12 hours. Dont remember it being that bad before 8.1.2.

I agree with some of the posters here. Battery life is particularly bad both with standby and normal usage. I've charged my phone 2x today and usually before I would get 1 entire day (9am-9pm) of heavy usage out of it. So I'm blaming the update as the culprit as my phone habits haven't changed. We need 8.1.3/8.2 to address these concerns, but fast; not in a couple months.

Same pretty much here. Use to never drop this quick.

Had similar issue with 8.1.1. Went back to 8.1 while I could. Then decided to get 8.1.1 for the other fixes it offered using iTunes update. No issues this time around. Battery is as good as ever and that 6-8 % standby drop overnight is gone. During the first run with 8.1.1 I was able to stop that standby drain by closing all apps then settings>reset>reset all settings. Maybe worth a try. Or at the very least close all apps and reboot. That seems to stop it at times as well. Seems there is typically some app hung up running causing this drain.

Just wanted to jump in here again. Battery is getting worse on my 6. This is the worst iOS build that I've ever downloaded.

This is the result of my first full charge in 8.1.2 after unjailbreaking and restoring from my pre-jailbreak backup. Every bit as good as it was before and it might get better.

Here's mine. It's terrible. View attachment 521165

Join the club my friend.

I basically use the same apps as you, and I struggle to get 4-5 hrs usage on a daily basis.

This software sucks and is a major problem for ALOT of us iPhone 6 users.

Just a quick search of the internet shows it's a problem that needs addressing!

how do many others get fine if not good/great battery usage?

I used to end the day at 39% and sometimes wouldn't charge it at night. I'm already at 38%.
My usage hasn't changed since I got the phone.

3 hrs of usage isn't horrible: it is an issue!
Are you sure your battery isn't defective?

What model do you have?

Again usage with 5s ios 8.1.2

A good result, but a lot of music.... It messes up results a little.

Updated to 8.1.2 after concern of losing ringtones again. But, no issues. I know too early to tell. But, I seem ahead of 8.1.1 as I always would get about 10pts lost per hour.

I'm really not seeing poor battery life that others are reporting.
