iPhone 3.0 BETA 2 - MMS officially works!

It's not working for me either. The hit or miss nature of this is really starting to bug me.
MMS worked fine for me in beta 1 and beta 2 until yesterday when I had to get a new phone... Argh no MMS anymore. I just popped the sim into a razr and went on media net and sent a MMS to myself successully. I popped the sim into the iPhone and it's restarting now. Got my fingers crossed.
I think it's a bug in the software. I can definitely send MMS's if I leave the text app and go into safari and load something. Otherwise it errors out on me.
Hi, Okay so i have the iphone 3g.. and i had the 3.o beta 1 and tethering workd and so did MMS.. i updated it to the beta 2 and then tethering works via usb but MMS doesnt work... like i see the camera icon but i cant send or recieve.. how did you manage to do it? Help me please?

It looks like to me that everyone who went from 2.2.1 to beta 1 does not have mms working and everyone who went from 2.2.1 to beta 2 has mms working

Carrier's plist file? I guess this is why it doesn't work yet. Perhaps need to create one and use the right settings as they work with SwirlyMMS.
im with rogers and it doesnt work for me, aghhh..i even called them and removed all my media block which the guy successfully did. I jsut dont see the camera icon...did u do anything special?

Hi, Im on the rogers Iphone 3g beta 2 and i do have the camera icon thing on the mms ... but i dont seem to be working like it says it sends but its never recieved to other cells nor i cant recieve mms.. any luck by unblocking the media content from rogers thing?

Nope. I went from 2.2.1 to 3.0b2 and it doesn't work.

im on att 3.5 with 3.0 beta 2 and have had mixed results with mms, 80% of the time it does not work, and then randomly it will. the problem obviously is this is nnot stable. as i can not have someone thinking they can send me a pic if the mms is down i will never get it. i have not upgraded to att 5.0 and do not think i will based on the fact that most people who have, are experiencing the same thing. i also had att change my plan from iphone text 200 to regular messaging 200 but still no dice 80% of the time.
any other ideas?

Perhaps the issue is more subtle... I have a 8 GB 3G and I upgraded to 3.0 Beta 2 from 2.2.1. I attempted MMS, fail. Attempted Carrier Update, fail. Changed my plan to non-iPhone txt, fail. Changed to unlimited messaging as many who had it working had unlimited, fail. Attempted second carrier update from file linked on this site fail. Attempted changing APN setting (I am in the US, but for some reason I can access that panel, possibly one of the updates I ran) fail, fail, and more fail. While playing with this information I noticed the response time seamed to change subtly when I made alterations to the APN settings which leads me to thing that perhaps is a login issue, however the only thing I succeeded in with this venture is killing my data, which returned when I applied the carrier file again. I have had this number and account from them since they were AT&T the first time in 2002ish. Not sure if this is any help, but... Oh and I have tethering working, but not MMS.... figures. I'd be more than happy to offer any more information.
Update... it appears that the original carrier file I just applied killed tethering as well. Not sure what this means.

Plug your phone in, open itunes, click on your phone, then Option+Click on Check for Updates, then browse to the file.
Oh, also there is an issue with Mac OS extracting the file, so you may try downloading it to a flash drive on a Windows computer, or another browser than Safari.
Who every does not have mms working do you get the sms for viewmymessage.com when you recieve an mms?
I can also confirm that my mms works. I updated to 3.0b2 a couple days ago and today i tried again to send an mms and was successful multiple times both sending and receiving. One thing i noticed was that it would not send to an ATT phone that had a data block. i had an opt out data feature on my non-iphone on my account so i removed that and added pay per use data to the non-iphone and immediately it worked (so make sure the recipient phone has data service). I have family messaging and iphone data plan no modification to ipcc file or anything. "Bone stock" 3.0b2 update working mms.

My MMS started working once I changed (forced by AT&T) to iPhone Data plan and leaving my text message to non-iPhone plan. I think the text message plan and probably giving the IMEI number to AT&T did the trick for me as MMS didn't work when I was using my old SIM card with same message plan.
I hope in the final version Apple will have Preview feature and save Draft feature for messaging. Also, ability to record audio clips to MMS will be great. Will be handy in sending Happy Birthday audio wishes to friends or Happy New year to group of friends at ONCE.
