AT&T Jersey City

I just got home from at&t Jersey city and I was #59 in line and wouldn't you know they ran out of phone at person #57  They opened at 7am earlier than usual and only brought 57 phones. Anyway they said that they will have more in later this afternoon and will call me when they arrive.

i wonder how long it takes foxconn to produce a batch (pallet, gross whatever you call it) of them? I mean if 1.7 million have been sold and almost EVERY ATT, Best buy, Rad Shack, & Apple retail store is sold out, wouldnt apple up production speed? shouldnt we be seeing shipments arrive daily? on Saturday i call my local apple store and was told they are out of stock but i could get put on a reserve waiting list. i got emails confirming my 2 reserves at my local store, it is now tuesday and they still havent gotten anymore? and now the online store says 3 weeks lead time?

For what it's worth, when ordering with AT&T's Premier site around 0700 (EST), the ship date was predicted to be 7-10 days.

Again, whatever that's worth to anyone.

I have a white 3GS and am seriously considering a white iPhone4, and will make up my mind when I've actually held one in my hand.

The supply problem isn't just iPhone4 -- I got my 64GB iPad3G the weekend they were introduced in the UK. Others have had to wait for up to two weeks for an iPad and Apple is quoting delivery in 7-10 business days.

Interesting statistic over the weekend: 77% of all iPhone4 sales were upgrades from previous iPhone, so this event isn't too much about "me-too" buyers.

Good luck

Good luck everyone who is in line waiting for new iPhone soon you will be enjoying!!!
I have to go to work now and play with my iPhone 4.

so...i'm trying to order on att.com. i click on the buy iphone 4 now banner, log in...and then my only options are 3GSs. wtf...?

Just to clarify...Apple is quoting delivery of 7-10 days for the iPad, or the iPhone 4?

Thanks.

Got to AT&T store at 5, and was 21 in line, I was a little surprised since our town isn't huge. While I was next person to go in the lady at door told me there was 1 32gb left, went in, asked for 32gb, they said the guy in front of me got the last one, I was pretty mad. I did pick up a reserve one for later today around 1 when the get their next shipment. Total around 60 people, Texarkana Texas. It's going to be a longggggg 4 hours.

No reception issue for me.

iPhone 4 is worth every thing. No other phone matches 'the experience'. Sounds tacky, but it is true.

Ok folks.
The Boca park store has 125 in line and they have at least 100 phones. 3 employees have estimated. I'm # 69 and thrilled!!!! Woot for iPhone!!

They just gave us iPhone trivia cards for poo and giggles. Killed ten minutes.

T minus 24 minutes!!

I just got mine

I just got my iPhone 4 at AT&T. Got in line around 8 (25 people in line) and the manager told me they received 290 phones!!!

:eek:I'm surprised they got that many!!

My AT&T store had a ratio of 80-20 16gb-32gb, so if your going for 32 there's a chance you won't get it. Every store might be different, and you may not be going for 32, but just saying.

If it was a device that did something we could have only dreamed of in the past that could actually make our lives better I could understand.

Have you not thought that precisely because it DOES things that we once only dreamed of is actually WHY people are queueing for them??

I mean its tiny, has 5MP camera, video editing, video chat, music player, e-book reader AND makes phone calls..

Now I don't know what past you came from, but back when I was a kid that was about as space age as it got..
