Hahaha, right. I thought I recognized your username.
In case you ever get tired of converting to Apple Lossless and maintaining DMB tapes in your iTunes Library...I have taken to using the App "Vox" and manually copying the entire taper folder (FLACs, md5, and all) to the iPhone, via iTunes.

I usually re-tag using the Mac App "Yate" first, but beyond that I save a lot of time.
P.S. Vox also has a nice Mac App too for playing FLACs.

Much better ! Had a 32 been available for the 6 I would have looked at that alongside 64 - choice depending on price. My 64 is still half empty

My upgrade plan for my 3-year-old 5s is pretty simple: if the iPhone 7 has a headphone jack I'll likely go with that. If not, I will wait until my 5s dies. Upgrading only to have to drop another $50-100 on wireless headphones that won't last the length of an international plane ride is just not sensible.

What airline are you flying that doesn't have power ports?

But the 64GB owners would get 2x the storage without spending anymore money. Just like what happened with 32GB owners.
Yes, I was referring to Apple still making the $100 [to get to the next storage level] look like very enticing upgrade by making it quadruple the storage instead of doubling.

In a wide-ranging commentary piece about why now is a bad time to buy a new iPhone, The Wall Street Journal has confirmed that the iPhone 7 will start with 32GB of storage, replacing the infamous 16GB base tier offered since the iPhone 5.The bump from 16GB to 32GB of entry-level storage has already been widely rumored by multiple Asian sources connected with Apple's supply chain, but confirmation from The Wall Street Journal makes the claim much more credible.

Two of the three storage options for iPhone 7 will likely be 32GB and 128GB, while multiple sources have said that at least the larger Plus-sized 5.5-inch model will be available with 256GB of storage. It is unclear if the 4.7-inch model will also have a 256GB storage option. The current storage options for both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus include 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB.

The Wall Street Journal previously confirmed that the iPhone 7 will have a thinner iPhone 6s-like design with no headphone jack and improved waterproofing. Other rumored features include a faster Apple A10 processor, repositioned antenna bands, faster LTE and Wi-Fi, and camera improvements, possibly including a dual-lens camera (and 3GB of RAM) exclusive to the 5.5-inch model.

somehow 32gb still don't feel enough, lol.
if i were into buying a new iphone i'd still get the medium storage one, the top being too expensive.

How about 64G, 128G, 256G AND an xd slot so we can put what the hell we want into the phone? I love all my Apple products, but how about giving your customers more choices so can complete better against Android and make your customers happy? Seems like a win-win to me.

People need to realise that Apple will just increase the price anyway. It's not like the new 32gb model will cost the same as an old 16gb. If you needed more storage, stop complaining that the base model isn't enough, and buy a phone with more storage!

You cannot argue logic to some people.. they don't understand it lol.

It's about time. But how much you wanna bet people start saying 64 should be the base. 32 is the new 16! Heh heh heh

replacing the infamous 16GB base tier offered since the iPhone 5.

I like how a site that seems to be all about Apple doesn't know much about Apple devices.

When I got my iPhone 3GS in 2009, 16GB was the lowest capacity that you could get it in. It certainly didn't start with the iPhone 5.

i guess that can all but confirm the minimal upgrades for the iPhone 7. there's been nothing BIG to show yet. sticking with my 64GB iPhone 6 or grabbing a 6s on swappa.

I've long said that keeping the 16GB iPhone was just a ploy for Apple to get people to buy the 64GB model--for $100 extra.

Exactly... It sucked but since iPhone 5S was an update to 5 it made sense to keep the 16GB option. But by the time iPhone 6 rolled out, 16GB didn't make sense but for a few; inducing impulse purchases by those who bought 16GB models and quickly realized their storage was full from high resolution videos and photos and larger sized apps.

What happened when storage was full? A friendly, TouchID way to purchase cheap iCloud storage. Or the customer went back and upgraded... Or they realized upfront that 16GB would never work and so they went with more in the first place ✋.

No matter what, the majority of people contributed growth for Apple and because of this decision to keep 16GB at the low end.

Genius since it's defended and seems to have paid off for Apple. Whose to blame, really? A large market willing to go iPhone no matter the "sacrifice?" Or the company who knowingly takes advantage of their market to please their shareholders? Or ???

Outside of all that. I'm just glad to hear they're likely doing something about this.

Goodbye.. 16 Gig.. *waves*

I figure this already puts me in my place... Can't keep the base 16 Gig round forever, but then what is Apple's plan ?

If u have 32gig, wll that mean less users will use the cloud because u have more storage locally... ? That's always been my intention to just get 16 Gig model. Add to the face, no point in more space if i'm never gonna use it.

I just don't see the point in paying for stuff i *may* only use... its gotta be a certainty.

Next question is whether the 32GB takes the place of the 16GB in the price line up OR the 16GB is just discontinued and the 32GB price point remains as-is. If you think I'm joking think about how Apple approached iPad Pro pricing when it lopped off the 16GB version of the top 9.7 model.

Personally I can see the iPhone 7 with a 32, 64, 128GB versions and a starting price at $699 -- $50 more than the 16GB iPhone 6s. People won't complain because $50/24 payments is measley $2 a month they won't notice.

Will still get 64GB since I'm using 30GB of my 64GB 6s. But I won't get the 7, probably wait till the next iPhone after it.

You realize that more than half of all iPhone buyers each year take home a 16 GB model and give it a 98% satisfaction rating? Year after year.

Your argument does not hold water. At all.

I think what you meant to say is that 16 GB doesn't work for you personally, and thus you are a likely customer of one of the other two tiers that Apple offers.
Nope, 16gb is too little. Apps have been increasing in size and one of the big selling point is the ability to record 4K video.
I always paid the extra $100 to get the next size. Just saying, it costs nothing for Apple to make the base model at 32gb.
