I still think it’s not that big. I love this size and can never use anything smaller again after years of using a 5, 5s and first generation SE. I’ve been on the Max train since the XS Max and it’s great. I also have a bigger 12.9 inch iPad Pro as it’s easier to draw and write on.
I don’t t think it’s very big either. I’m so tired of everyone who speaks as if their preference or perception speaks for others. It’s great that they have choices in size just so people can choose which device is best for them. That year I had the iPhone X I loved the design but it felt so tiny coming from a plus size phone previously. My partners iPhone 13 even feels small to me however they see my phone as being enormous. Considering I’m 6’1” and they are 5.3 of course our perception of phone size is different

Ive been saying for a long time all these product splits are nothing but money grabs.

If they were truly about making great products the only iPhones available would be the iPhone 14, no pro naming, just all the features of the Pro but just called the iPhone 14.

It would be at the same price point as the iPhone 14 also.

I'm so tired of their segmentation game. Just make an iPhone that's the best you can do that year, have it in a regular size and a larger size for the people that prefer it.
If Steve Jobs was alive today, we would have just 1 new iPhone every year.

Range architecture is the structure of your products, sub-brands and price points.
A well designed range architecture will help your customers pick the right product at the right price, helping them navigate sometimes countless choices.

And so what? You’re still buying apple products.

Times have changed.

Maybe it’s good thing Cook is CEO.

People have figured out how to buy cars. They can figure out how to buy iPhones.

This is nonsense. They wouldn’t do this. I also don’t believe that the max is that much more popular than the regular prob. It’s simply too big for a lot of people. Men but especially women. I’m a grown man I couldn’t hold it in one hand without being uncomfortable. I have big hands!

NOT. EVERYONE. WANTS. A. GIANT. PHONE. JUST. TO. GET. THE. BEST. FEATURES!

In the era of outrage culture, I can't believe more people, i.e. women, aren't denouncing this trend. Are they being punished for having anatomically smaller hands compared to their male counterparts? Maybe that's one way to get them to make a iPhone 15 mini -- accuse them of sexism. 😂

Do people actual enjoy using these giant phones? They are annoying to use. Here's my rule, if you can't touch the top corners with your thumb, it's too big.

Assuming women don’t want larger phones and only want small ones is in fact sexist. Since many women keep their phones in a bag or purse you often see them with very large phones. For many users their phone is their primary or only computer. This is especially true in poorer communities.

Large phones aren’t niche though. I know just as many if not more people with max size phones as the regular and only 1 with a mini

It is very much niche. It is the largest phone Apple have ever offered, and is right at the large end extreme of phone sizes

I'm sure some people and woman want a giant phone, but if it's hard to operate, it's not ideal. How about letting consumers choose? Put the same features in every model and only have one larger version using the 'Plus' name. No more of this 5 different models nonsense, it's too confusing to a lot of consumers.

Apple needs to consider regular iPhone 14/15 models for the Spring event. No point introducing them during Fall Event. The Pro model steals the thunder.

Could it be? In 2023, we may see...
  1. iPhone 15 Pro
  2. iPhone 15 Pro Max
  3. iPhone 15 Ultra
Or possibly this:

iPhone 15 - 6.1”
iPhone 15 plus or Max - 6.7” (replacing 14 Plus)
iPhone 15 Pro - 6.1”
iPhone 15 Ultra - 6.7” (replacing 14 Pro Max)

As of right now, rumors indicate that the iPhone 15 could see a design update with a swap to USB-C instead of Lightning and new periscope telephoto lens technology.
The periscope lens design is a zoom lens, i.e. a variable focal length lens. It isn't just a telephoto lens.

I wish Apple would just have one iPhone SKU each year. Make the Pro the default iPhone.
Why do you currently can buy the model that’s right for you and others can go the same. It’s a mature product. Apple doesn’t sell just one sku Mac or iPad

Not a fan. The point of the Pro and Pro Max (or what will be Pro and Ultra on 15 possibly) is to have the pro features in 2 size option. Some people don’t want the larger screen. They shouldn’t have to sacrifice features.

Im saying glass of water is half full, youre saying glass of water is half empty. Same thing.

Wait unless, do you think Apple is going to intentionally downgrade the 15Pro compared to the 14Pro just so the 15Ultra is better?

Do you really imagine Apple coming with the 14Pro with its current set of features and then intentionally removing features on the 15Pro (that the 14Pro already had) just to make the 15Max/ultra better? How are they gonna sell a 15Pro thats actually worse than the 14Pro?
I imagine Apple not putting features in the 15 Pro that they can just to put them in the 15 Pro Max so people have to pay more.

The only thing that should be limiting at this point....in my mind should be battery capacity and total pixel count of the screen. There is no reason that it can't have the same SOC CPU and RAM, etc. That should be the difference between the iPhone 15 and an iPhone 15 Pro.

That's already the case: https://www.macrumors.com/2022/09/08/iphone-14-ram-amounts/

I am saying if there's some feature that would not work in the smaller model, say like a periscoping lens, I am OK with that being exclusive to the larger "Pro" only. I don't want a third tier of iPhone called "Ultra" as I see it being a way to include features that would historically be in the Pro anyway, but not cost more.

who is they? people are speculating on how the different devices might be differentiated, and rather than look at it that all models should have the same features, just different sizes or else the smaller phones are being ripped off, some are pointing out that larger phones can get bigger batteries, bigger cameras, and perhaps different sensors simply because there is more room in bigger devices. Hence, the largest size could have extra features simply because of size, not because the smaller phones were being artificially restricted. I agree the use of Pro for two sizes is silly, should be three models. the regular version, the pro version, and the ultra.
I don’t. There should be only two versions. If Apple thinks we don’t buy the max because of money then they are really dumb, like I said, we’re already spending $1,000 dollars on a phone, money is not an issue. We just don’t want a tablet in our pockets
