If the box was recyclable or made with natural/bio-degrade elements, and didn't look like itself costs $20 to make, that would be an improvement.
I just got an iPhone 11 for work and forgot they come with buds and a charger. I need neither.
Good riddance. Good for my AAPL stock to reduce waste and increase margins.

Why do you sell old phones? Don’t you pass them down to other family members, and eventually collect them in a closet shoebox for your eventual iPhone museum?
And where is this planet on which Apple stops including chargers and the android makers don’t follow suit (after first making a dumb commercial calling us sheep for not caring and gloating that they still sell chargers, only to change course and copy Apple the next year)
Exactly! If Apple goes this route it will for sure be copied across the board.
I totally get that cutting down on what's in the box to the point where maybe you just need the phone itself but in terms of private resale value. If I buy a second hand phone, I'd expect it to come with a charger too. Especially if I'm coming from Android for example.

It's a stupid idea to not be able to charge without buying something extra. I just cant buy this is true it makes no sense. If you could submit something online putting in your device serial # to get one shipped to you for free if you need one then great. Then I get that is a LOT of e-waste to include in every box and you can just request one.
BUT personally, meh. I have one 18w brick from the 11 Pro Max, two 12W chargers (one Anker I bought a while ago when we had 5W bricks still and a family member donated iPad brick) and a handful of old 5W bricks. So personally I couldnt care less. Every time I trade a phone in yearly they dont want the accessories back (brick, cable or headphones). I have more bricks than I need.
If they pack in 5g, 120hz, etc etc at the same price Im ok on a personal level with no brick.

Android and iphone use the same chargers. Why would you need a white apple version?
I agree that it's going to make some people upset, but I don't see it that way. I see it as saving me the trouble and guilt of throwing away a charger and headphones every time I buy an iphone. And those things aren't free. I'm paying for them included in the cost of the package. So right now, I see it as millions of people are being forced to buy crap they don't need if they want a new iPhone.
That’s fine there are plenty of basic phones still which I’m sure still come with chargers. At this point I’m over the “OMG smartphone” vibe and could get along perfectly well without one.
And following the "less is more" Apple philosophy, the price will be increased $100 on each model.
That is true. They're all USB-A or USB-C (mostly C)
I agree, people dont realize they are paying for stuff to go in a drawer. Id rather pay to put in 5g, 120hz, etc at the same phone price as last year.
I have a drawer full of wall plugs for past iPhones, and same with EarPods. I think EarPods are trash so I have never used one pair other than the first pair I put in my ears back in 2009. But if it came with a 20 watt charger that might be different.
