What size screen MacBook Pro (2021) did you order?

It was sort of strange... I happen to wake up at around 4:15am for no reason at all. I look at my phone and my Apple Card had no new charges. A second later, boom... two charges- one for the computer and the other for AppleCare+. Now I'm just waiting for actual shipping info and a tracking number.
Good news!!! Congrats Chet :) Mine's still in "Processing", I'm having kinda of "dejavu", in November I was in the same situation with another fella that ordered his computer 2 days before than mine (just like you now) ... I got the charge first but his went on PTS first.

I really hope yours ships soon! And mine change status as well :D

In my case I've been with the 14" one for 3 months, the tap-to-click problem bothers me quite a bit and nothing that apple solves, which has led me to buy the 16" one, in addition to this, because of the size of the screen that is much better and more comfortable than the 14" one (specially for my age).

Portability shouldn't be a problem, I never carry the charger or cables, just the computer, so I hope I don't regret the change. Plus, the big screen allow me work with several windows without a second display. Thermals are a little issue in 14" too.

I really hope both of us are going with the correct decision. I was plenty of happy with the M1 Pro 14", only thing I had to give it away to get the M1 Max 24GPU for more GPU horsepower, though that, and even knowing the 16" is a better machine overall, after this week of tinkering with it, I don't find myself using it as a laptop as I was doing with the 14", I do have the sensation that I'm wasting screen estate most of the time and to me, it's not as practical as the 14" was for handling it/placing it even around the house, but of course, this is just personal. Gonna miss the speakers, and specially the thermals, but I think I'm ready to do this sacrifice since most of my workload shouldn't push the thermals that much.

So godspeed to both of us :)

A further update...

I'm pretty sure my MacBook is over the Pacific right now. Went through the export process very fast. Really expected it to sit in customs for a day or so before getting on plane. But those times align perfectly with FedEx flight 90. In fact, it should land in Memphis in about five hours from now. It is actually possible for me to get delivery tomorrow...but I think Wednesday is more likely.

I thought the same with mine. Mine actually made the next flight to PANC, then to KMEM on the next available flight, then here to Sacramento. It made that in 2 days. That's actually a good thing...

The bad part is if it gets to your city early, FDX won't deliver it until the date they show for your delivery time, and not a day sooner. Additionally, they won't release it to you from their distribution center, so whatever delivery date you have, you'll be bound to it by FDX.

Mine shows "Cleared Import Customs - Your parcel has cleared customs and is on the way." via UPS ... I really hope the MBP reached to board into UPS 5x11 that departed hours ago from Shanghai, it should land at Cologne within 6 hours.

Apple says it arrives tomorrow on 23rd, UPS says on 24th, I tend to trust courier agencies given this point, but IDK, what do you guys think? Is there a chance to get it tomorrow? First experience with UPS after 2 years and a half.

Ahh, I see. I did think you meant Singapore. In most countries if you want the local keyboard (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) then one can often get the base model quickly. If you want a U.S. keyboard in those countries though then it means a wait, sometimes a long wait. I suppose in the U.S. if one wants a Chinese, Japanese, etc. keyboard then it probably means a wait also. And, of course, if you want an upgraded model (more memory, bigger SSD, etc.) then it also means a wait.

My status just changed to preparing for delivery.
The shipping company tracking shows that 2 days ago it arrived in Shanghai. It hasn't moved from there though since then. Maybe they hold stuff until they get enough to go in a weekly shipment?

I often considered a UK keyboard for use in the USA, I really do like the return key on those.

Well, back on January 27 when I ordered my 14" MBP, Apple said delivery would be March 23 to April 5...sure enough, it's March 23rd and FedEx dropped my new MacBook off this morning.
One surprising thing about the FedEx trip- a direct flight from Osaka to Memphis. Usually, there's a stop in Anchorage...not this time. (Yes, the flight did originate in Shanghai.)

Anyway, the computer is amazing. Have it pretty much set up the way I want and I cannot believe how fast and responsive everything is. The keyboard- this is actually the most I've typed so far- is also excellent. Perfect key travel- a far, far cry from the awful flat keyboards of a few years ago.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys their new MacBooks!

When would my May 3-10 order I placed start moving I got the MacBook Pro m1 max 16 inch 64 Gb ram 1tb with pro creation apps via apple edu with apple care plus ?

I can tell you right now that no-one here can tell you when your order is going to start moving. We have no general idea how long it would take a BTO to be put together, let alone ship. The best we can say is that when you get the notice that it is preparing to ship, you can cross reference the tracking number you'll get to either FDX or UPS, and track the closest available flight for it either at FlightAware or FlightRadar24. That will tell you when it's shipping, plus give you realtime data as to where your MBP is at: in the air, on the ground, or otherwise.
