For now....
@Mossdaddy:
I had trouble finding that update as well. When I went into SYSTEM PREFERENCES>MAC, I went through each of the 4 tabs, then when I was getting out of it, the update popped up. This didn't work for you?
Morod

Which 4 tabs? :confused:Please take a snapshot of this.

Mobileme is working better now. They're updating and it is been faster.

Check.

EDIT: Except calendar. Not stop spin.

EDIT 2: Perhaps they're working in app to app. Mail, Contacts and Gallery is faster. Now it's Calendar time.

wow. that's ridiculous.

they made it sound like push will work in all situations. cloud <-> iphone, touch, mac. but in reality push only works cloud <-> iphone, touch, and cloud -> mac. mac -> cloud is only sync, no push.

very upsetting. false advertisement!!

Well Id agree with that... screen cap has the wording that shows its supposed to push to and from a mac instantly:

I'm really hoping this becomes a reality. I'm getting an iPod touch this summer with their BTS program (I wish it would magically turn into an iPhone 3G, but this college boy has no money... :D) and I'll love the push tech then.

You know, "Account", "Sync", "iDisk" and "Back to my Mac"? Those tabs.

Not everyone has those tabs on system preferences...I know I don't either...maybe because I don't have an account.

For the person with no update showing up...The update didn't come up instantly I had to leave the panel open for about a minute before it came up.

Is there anybody in Canada who has got all things working properly?

My mail is still dead, and mobileme sync doesn't work at all. It has been more than 2 days. This is ridiculous.

It's hit and miss for me.

Thanks a lot ... this has been very frustrating.

The me.com worked breifly last night and I was able to update my calendar and contacts, by the time I checked back in 15 minutes later, everything was gone. And the data appears to be a restored copy backed up at least 3 days ago.

Sorry, but I have STILL not been able to receive the mobileme Mac OS X Updater by any means. Software Update says my computer is up to date, and the System Preferences .mac panel will not provide the update either. I have clicked all tabs and buttons in that panel repeatedly as well as tried signing out and logging back in repeatedly. The learn more button does not provide the option to update for me either.

[This section removed due to misinformation, my apologies] -My frustration clouded (pun?) my thinking process.

Needless to say, this has been a most frustrating Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Apple is at risk of losing a long term member here. Also, upon my many attempts to log in, I noticed the improper use of english highlighted below:

MobileMe must really have been rushed into (non)service.

/end rant

I've looked at software update a half dozen times since the supposed Thursday launch of Moblieme and I still haven't gotten a software update. I've messed with the systems preferences and clicked the tabs to no avail. I've signed in (when apple let me) and out of .mac with no change except now it won't recognize any sync under .mac. Doesn't say anything about .me.

Worse still, according to my .mac panel, I apparently never received the long past upgrade from 5 GB to 10GB (?!). Perhaps I am living in some sort of void?

Is your system running Tiger by any chance?

I think that's intended to say "Please re-enter the password for [username] to access...", judging from the use of "the" before password. "Please re-enter the password to access..." does validate, but just doesn't sound like something that would look good on that type of dialog.

Not arguing your point, jus' sayin'.

Everything on me.com is working great, and speedily, here. Calendar included.

*dodges tomatoes and knives* don't be hatin'!

What does that have to do with it?
I AM running Tiger on my laptop, and still no sign of it in Software Updater -- and clicking the tabs in .Mac in system preferences ain't doing anything either.

This is getting soooooooo old.

It's working fine here for me. The only thing that does not seem to work all the time is the Remote app for itunes. But the mobile sync stuff works albeit more slowly than in the WWDC demo.

I think the problems that people have been having might be caused by a number of things including DNS server issues with ISPs and other routing issues.

I've had to reset my ADSL modem a couple times today.

My best advice however would be that you should step away from your computer, get some sleep and try tomorrow.

Tiger has a lot to do with it. Some features don't work on Tiger and I'm pretty sure that the update they pushed was for 10.5. Check out the MM website for more info on Tiger.

Well, there's yer problem. The update is for Leopard only.

The Mac OS X Update For MobileMe is recommended for users running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 and includes general system fixes that enhance your Mac for MobileMe.
