To each their own. Material 3 Expressive has been widely regarded among the Android community as the best combination of maximizing efficiency while keeping the OS enjoyable to use. It is useful, intuitive, consistent, and accessible, unlike the horrible misstep that was iOS 26. On top of that, the ability to use custom launchers and icon packs give users so much control that Apple continues to deny their users access to. Apple's UX is all prototype and then launch without any market research and very little iterative testing. This leads to the majority of their ideas getting launched and never touched again (see App Library from iOS 14).I often feel like Google hires open source engineers working on the Linux Kernel to do their UX, and that's definitely the case right now.
