I probably mentioned this in another thread, but having experimented with auto pause on the AW2, I have found that I need to completely stop. You might say that is the idea. I guess I have been spoiled by Garmin because I can set a very slow pace and the watch will pause w/o me completely stopping which allows me to walk over to a water fountain or other sometimes latrine issues. Actually I rarely use auto pause because I have found manually stopping and starting is easier for me and I think a little more accurate as far as pace, but hey, that is just me.
I tried the "hey Siri" this morning in front of my house- phone in the house. It worked.
Got to 1 mile and said ""hey Siri pause", msg appeared and advised me I needed my phone. Also it charted the first mile on the AW activity app, not the Nike app.
I wish I had known that was an extra feature of the Nike+. If it was pre-advertised I missed it. But my lack of patience had me jump to the AW2.
I have to smile at myself, after over 40 years of running, never had I thought that it would be nice to talk to my watch and it would respond. Those with the Nike version, if you tell Siri to have you run faster does that work?:)

Rather than duplicate post, see my siri & auto pause experience from this mornings run over here: #10

I love not having to bring my phone when I run. My only complaint so far is that the pace, while running seems to be sporadic. Although the final time, pace, and distance were all correct. It's not perfect by any means, but it's not a dedicated running watch either. I can live with the compromise. For all the people whom are hardcore marathon trainers, this is probably not the watch for you.

Question on the Nike+ Apple Watch. I've been on about 5 runs with it and love it. I was curious with the music function of the watch. I've preloaded a track list to the watch. Do I have to use the built in music player of the watch with NRC running simultaneously? I can't seem to pair the Nike app and music w the watch. (Only to my playlist on my phone). I was hoping to use the built in forward / back function in the app of the watch. Am I missing something? Thx!

[doublepost=1478435633][/doublepost]I noticed this also but I think it might be the pace you are running at that particular time and that the average pace is announced at each kilometer and at the end of run.

I guess I could qualify as a "hardcore" marathon runner(19 marathons/27 ultra runs), actual pace is also quite wonky on the numerous "hard core" running watches I have used over the years. On my "hc" watches I use lap pace and average pace- for me that works.
Having had to rely on marking courses I ran on, or running on a track for close to 3 decades before the tech watches appeared, it became almost intuitive to know what pace I was running within a few seconds per mile.
Don't get me wrong, I love all the data, but the more you focus on enjoying your runs the probability of being a life time runner increases. It has worked for me over the last 85,602 miles- and counting:) Nick
PS I have over 200 miles on my AW2 and give it a thumbs up.

I have noticed this as well. The NRC app does not appear to have average lap pace time which is what I go by when running. I could care less about my pace at any given time as I am aiming for a certain pace per mile when training and like like shot of how I'm doing. I wish Nike would add this. Even on the built in workout app, the average pace per mile seems to be off when compared to my garmin watch.

I find this to be true. With the colder weather, I've layered up, which makes pulling out the watch from under my sleees to glance at pace without slowing down difficult. So I've been fast walking without looking at pace until I finish my walk. But Nike website lets you see your pace at any given point of your run, and after a few walks, I'm able to guess how fast I was walking pretty well.

I also notice that the phone app reads the stats out loud when I pull out the phone and lift it. Wish they'd do that with the watch app, where perhaps raising the wrist would read you your stats.

The nike app and Apple Watch settings are set to metrics.

What i am asking for is: Apple Watch should tell me through the speaker that I finished a kilometer and tell me the time I needed therefore.

Hmmmm. The phone app does this. Not sure if watch app does that by itself.

You can turn on and edit audio-feedback in the preferences of the nrc-app on your phone.

My experience with the Nike app provides me a audio message that can include distance, elapsed time and average pace per mi/km. This is without carrying my phone on the run. I have mine set for each mi and average pace. It is pretty close to my Garmin 235. Foolishly, I have been running with the 2 watches since I got the AW2, not the Nike edition, a month ago. Nick

Was watching the ny marathon, and saw that most runners had some kind of watch on. Saw one of the top men check his watch as he was turning into Central Park -- wonder what he was checking! Even saw some bands with holes like the Nike band, but tv didn't show enough detail to let me confirm if it was the Nike+ Apple Watch. Any other sports watch have similar bands with holes in them?

Quite a few. I bought a knock off black/volt band. It is lighter but honestly, I hadn't had an issue with the stock AW2 band. I will admit the temps here in N FL have cooled from the oppressive 90's with matching humidity to the comfortable 70-80's with lower humidity.

The last 2 times (that i am aware of anyway) i have run with the NRC app that i started with the watch.
I also have my phone on me in an armband (which i don't touch at all) and when i'm running, i get voice feedback through both watch and the phone.

Has anyone else had this? the first time it happened, I started the run on the watch and about 100m later i raised my arm only to see my clock face... maybe the app crashed on me after starting the run...

I re-started the app and from what i could gather, the run started from where i was 100m along my route, with voice feedback thereafter coming from both devices.

When i finished my run, i stopped it on the watch and when i looked at the NRC app on the phone, only 1 run existed (that of the watch, starting down the street a little).

Another point might be that the volume on the phone was up which meant i could hear the phone's voice feedback much easier than when it is turned down low.

Interested in other people's opinions on this...

I have to try it again. The voice feedback option was turned on. So I am wonderingly about. But let's see how it will be next time.

As Nick mentions, several do. Several Garmin models have a similar looking pattern, as do TomTom models.

CORRECTION: The audio report on my AW2 from the Nike app-- NO PHONE-- can give miles/km run, elapsed time and average pace for the WHOLE run, NOT, the average for each mi/km. Sorry I misinformed. Nick

Same problem here.

Nike+ Watch and NRC on phone only "see" music loaded on the phones Nike app.

Synced playlists on watch not showing up / selectable.

Very frustrating. No help from Nike either.

What am I missing ?
