I've decided the iPhone 7 is for me. Eliminating the headphone jack is a plus to me as I stream music at home and on the go, via Bluetooth, which keeps me unfettered by wires and free to move myself and my phone around the environment with complete freedom. If I go to a party, pairing with my friends Bluetooth speakers is a snap and I don't need to pack patch cables and cords, it's just come as you are..
when I hop into the car, the phone syncs wirelessly with my head unit (which lacks CDm DVD, Casette and 8-track imagine!) and I can control music and phone calls via my paired Apple Watch, again no wires.
Travel is great without wires as it was always one of those things that were a pain to pack and keep accessible... I just pack a small battery backup with a 1m lightning cable and shorty watch cable in the event I get stranded an an airport or its too long a flight... the cable does double duty with any USB port I come across and they are pretty much everywhere now, in planes, in hotels... my local bar even has USB wall outlets under the bar, next to the pocketbook hooks (a genius idea by the way)
After a long day of activity, I like to shut down electronics for the night and recharge my phone and watch on the kitchen counter so I won't be distracted and disrupt my sleep. In the morning it's back at it again... cutiing wires from a wireless device is cathartic and refreshing.
I surely don't miss the days of having vinyl wire jewelry connecting my pockets to my ears and catching it, twisting it, knotting it in seemingly everything within reach... I don't miss accidentally pulling my phone off a desk because I got up with headphones on. I don't miss those wires at all.
