I dont think it will be delivered tomorrow
Don't be a pessimist! :) I looked at my history of "Your Amazon Order has Shipped" e-mails and they range from 9 am through just after midnight.

My only concern is that so many folks seem to have gotten tomorrow as a delivery date, even people who just ordered a week ago and don't deserve to get them so quickly. <grin> So I hope they really do have a gigantic massive set of truckloads of MacBook Airs coming in...

It's in my hands guys! Yea!
The keyboard seems to be stiffer than my MacBook Pro's. I hope that that changes over time, or that I become use to it!

I got Samsung/LG. Screen seems fine to me.

The computer doesn't charge...FML!
Do you think I have any chance of just bringing it to the Apple Store?
Totally. As I understand it, the Apple store will service Apple hardware under warranty from any authorized dealer.

Note that they'll fix it, though, not replace it -- if that bothers you, you'll have to go the exchange route instead.

My MBA just arrived! After 36 days of waiting, it's finally here.

It's so pretty...

Edit: Samsung on both screen and SSD! Jackpot!

I am going to the Apple Store now. The AppleCare Rep said that I could go to the genius bar without an appointment. Does anyone here know how that works?

If there's someone there that isn't with a customer I'm sure they could accommodate you but I don't see the harm of booking an appointment.

So has anyone who's scheduled to get theirs tomorrow, but hadn't received a shipped notice before this morning, gotten a "shipped" e-mail today?

Mine has been shipped today with one day shipping. Should be here tomorrow. However on UPS website it shows ground service instead of next day. Hopefully it does arrive tomorrow.

I just went to the Apple Store. I told them about the problem, and how Amazon was backordered.

They somehow know me there and said 'Oh you're Michael,' and smiled(before I gave them any info at all, so it was genuine.). They not only replaced the machine, but they upgraded me to the i7 for free!!! <3 :apple:

I had to pay for shipping, it was around 12$ at the post office. They give you an address label to print out along with an RMA form to put in the box. Once the return goes through they are supposed to credit that back to you. We will see how that part goes.

Wow - got the replacement machine today, after filing the return case on Saturday. They also got the old unit back this morning, and credited the exact amount I had paid for shipping back to my credit card. To have the entire thing resolved in 2 days starting on a weekend is really impressive.

This new machine is wayyyy faster, and dosen't have all the random freezes the other one had. Plus all of the USB ports work. I'm assuming the buggered USB pin was sending all sorts of wacky signals to the controller board.

The new unit is a Samsung SSD and an LG display. At first I thought the the panel looked worse than the Samsung I had had on the old one, but after some basic calibration it looks just as good if not better. Either way it's very nice to have a working machine.
