I think it's possible as one of the lads said that there is no more single package specific infomation as the machines are being transported in bulk via road, what you guys think?

I'm in Dublin, Ireland and the carrier is UPS

and it's a CTO 15'' i5 with a HR Display and a 7200rpm 500Gb HD,

This doesn't require any further comment on my behalf really but yes I was referring to UPS Ireland - not UPS in general.

Fingers crossed. I am fairly confident that the first batch will definitely arrive within this week based on the fact that the couriers are trying their best effort to ger our MBP to the destination - By land & sea (via Somali waters?).

ordered 15" CTO (HR Glossy Screen, and US keyboard) within an hour or so of shop going back online.

Last friday morning it changed to "Shipment dispatched" but no tracking info as of yet, and I am in the UK... it only says dispatched via Syncreon / Merge in the UK.

Originally been given the delivery date 26-27 April, but it changed to 3rd of May long with the dispatched status change.

the other funny thing is that I enrolled for AppleCare and already got the enrolment email.

Also have used the chat on apple's website to find out if there is any update, and some rude chick closed the chat on me when I asked if my apple care will be extended since I did not receive my macbook yet, because I wouldn't mind if that was 2-3 days but 3 weeks taken off my warranty, not very good.

Apple Care is auto enrol and always starts the day the item is shipped from China, I think in part it is to cover any accidents when in transit...

I would not take the dates you get as solid proof thats the date you will get them, all of my CTO are always ott on dates and change onces they are given a UK delivery company...

by road,air,sea .. the package still has to be scanned and tracked. So the tracking page will get updates soon .. or later.
 
I assumed mine was also stranded in the Far East somewhere but I've just checked and it's actually sourced from Ireland! I might even get it today!! :)

Don't know why that would be! Mine says delivery expected today and it still says Origin Scan China on 17th as the latest update!

Hope it does arrive for you though!

Plus i'm in Ireland!
 
I'm waiting for my base 13" mbp to be delivered and I live in Malmö, Sweden. I called UPS to ask if it really made sense that it would be delivered today as the UPS online search stated, the support told me that even though the delivery is registered as "on it's way" its still in Shanghai due to the volcano.

They can't fly to Sweden and apparently they'll wait 'til they can. As long as I get it before friday I'm fine with it.

I live in Sweden and ordered on the 13th, my MBP has not even been sent or anything...hmmm

Its a stock 13" base model, im just really curious as to whether or not it could have landed in Cologne last night with the airport closed? I guess time will tell, estimated delivery date is still set for today, so maybe i get lucky within the next 6 hours, i doubt it though...

I have to agree: UPS Tracking sucks.
It still says

for me but delivery date is stated for today. Seems like my base 13" MBP is still stuck in China. Screw you, volcano!

At a guess you also ordered something else? Apple Care?? this number is an old walsh western number which changes to either UPS or TNT when it hits the DC, when you click the WW0000 number it will take you to the apple bridge system, it should also show you an 80 or 81 number... providing the item is sent via TNT.. you can sometimes get info off TNT international tracking using it as a reference rather than tracking number... all depends how fast TNT update their systems

Apple sent mine out on the 17th. Mine's shipping via UPS Ireland too. My latest UPS is at:

It looks like we are all in the same status. I emailed UPS Germany but the answer I got was half automated, saying the disaster blah blah.
