I'm pretty sure that they get paid as soon as the iPhones are built, not when one gets sold. So they don't care once the batches have been created. How are they desperate? Every iPhone X sold, Samsung gets paid.

Maybe Samsung needs better writers and/or actors. To me the ads come across as snarky, passive/aggressive with the customers already knowing the answers to their questions and just walked into an Apple Store to troll the employee.
Does Samsung make any earbuds as good as the AirPods? Does Samsung offer 256GB (soon to be 512GB) of fast internal storage? SD card speeds are much lower. Does Samsung manufacture great notebooks and tablets that perfectly compliment one another?
Samsung should focus on letting their products speak for themselves. Constantly comparing themselves to Apple is a sign of insecurity and weakness.
Can they do a video where they ask the Apple rep when they can expect the next update on there phone ?
Oh wait it’s pretty much the same day as every other iPhone from the last 5 years
Where the s9 will be lucky to get 2 updates this year
They have a share sheet for messages, right? What’s the point of copy and pasting?iPhone has multitasking . . . just not the unbearably cumbersome split screen like Samsung. One measly little left or right swipe switches between most recent apps smoothly in iOS 12.
One of Samsung's ads/videos demonstrates split screen usage to paste link of a video in a text message. Waste of time.

Not in my country.Everyone plays these kinds of marking games.
No different than the old Mac campaigns vs Windows and Microsoft right?
Maybe they make ads like these that air in China and India where other android OEMs are their direct competition. In the US and Europe their main competitor is Apple.
Exactly. I don't care if the Samsung S9 ***** gold, I still prefer iOS and Apple's ecosystem.Samsung needs to stop spending money advertising against Apple and start advertising against cheaper Android phones.
That's not multi-tasking. That's having two screens open at once. To my mind, that's clunky-tasking on a phone sized device. Doesn't Samsung even call it "multi window" or "split screen mode" . . . something like that?
iPhone app switching is much more simple compared to what Samsung is trying to accomplish here.
Cool, but the point is something is still being lost.
That is because Apple sells to iCrowd something at a price range which is to normal humans unjustifiable, yet Apple gets away with it. This is Beyond the understanding of Samsung which is trying to compete on a price vs performance rational grounds. While Apple wins its users heart not always on technical merit but by being a part of the exclusive Apple club. Make no mistakes Samsung too wants to be in that space where it sells less and makes more. I mean Samsung does every thing in its capacity from Building Ships to making semiconductors , hotel and Heavy electrical/mechanical equipment yet very soon Apple will be the worlds first Trillion dollar company. Half the GDP of India. This is why Samsung is obsessed with Apple like Revenues, it burns their hearts how Apple gets away with it when they manufacture every single semiconductor on the iPhone.

its worse on the iPhone X because of the notch. The S9 has the exact same aspect ratio as iPhone X. When you zoom a 16:9 video on either of them to fill the screen, you lose a bunch of area on the top and bottom of the video. This occurs on both. When viewing at the native aspect ratio, you don’t lose anything on either.
4+ years ago I would’ve agreed with you. Today, not so much.
SD cards in phones are becoming obsolete as “cloud storage” is increasingly becoming the norm. Just like with CDs- a physical form of media storage is now clunky/outdated.
Especially with minimum storage sizes increasing across the board in flagship phones. I don’t know anyone that owns a flagship phone today that uses an SD card anymore. It’s mostly a feature for tech savvy and/or power users IMO.
I’m not saying I don’t see the use of an SD card, but it’s not nearly as big of a “con” as it used to be.
With services such as iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. there really isn’t as big of a need for SD cards these days. You may not like it, you may find it inferior to SD, but that’s the way tech is evolving.
Google shut them down about Tizen. The ‘experience’ is different on a Samsung phone than on a pixel phone so I’d say Samsung provides the experience. Samsung as a company make lots of devices and comonents. No need to down play it.That's the thing, Apple DESIGNS their phones. Sure Samsung provides the components, but Apple designs it. They design the look, feel and experience (through iOS). Whereas Samsung can only really design the hardware for their products and rely on Google to provide the experience. Samsung then tries to put their own mark on Android by squeezing in their bloatware into the stock OS. Whatever happened to Tizen? Samsung was suppose to ditch Android and only have Tizen on their devices. I don't know why haters keep using the term "Apple club". There really is no club, just people who are happy with what they have. Samsung's flagship phones are on par price point with Apple. Sure Samsung builds/manufactures all those other products, but they compete with a lot of other companies in those sectors. Apple has products that the average consumer wants and there are plenty more of those than hotels needing equipment or companies needing ships. Semi-conductors are sold cheaply so it takes more of those to equal just one iPhone. On top of that the App Stores in both iOS and MacOS does a lot of business.
