My point is that some people here just want free stuff. That was not a guide on how to obtain free bumper. When I called I didn't intend on getting a free bumper, I wanted support with the issue and the rep said he will help by sending a good will bumper. I don't mind, if you genuinely do have the antenna issue.
Then yes, its a good idea to ask if they can provide a bumper because its down right out of order if you have to pay £25 to fix the antenna issue. What I am saying is that some people are just wanting to do anything to get something for free - that I don't like.
There's a difference between "complaining" and phoning for support. If I wanted to complain, I could have gone directly to customer relations and probably managed to obtain a whole bunch of free apple products.
exactly i find myself holding my phone with my left hand and tapping with my right hand (main hand). How is your dad not holding it right and tapping on it left ?![]()
With all these calls to applecare why are they not offering a replacement phone?
I understand Apple not including a dock or a cleaning cloth (they come with about everything else with a screen anyway) to cut costs to make the final cost to the consumer cheaper.
What I do not understand is when my iPHONE doesn't make calls because I might hold it in a way that is natural and comfortable, as well as in the manner that Apple has told me how to hold it through their ads, they should offer a fix. Plain and simple, it is a defect in the phone and should be fixed by the manufacturer. At the very least, bumpers should be $15-20. Only Apple can get away with selling a large rubber band for $30.
That being said, I'm buying an iPhone 4 as soon as I can, and will probably buy a bumper... darn you, Apple.
Correct they just offered me a free bumper not one word come up about a phone replacement. However, I never asked.

I was calling 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273). It seems to be hit or miss depending on the rep. you get and his/her willingness to help out.
