They have the mail, messages complications on the iphone 'watch' app under 'My Faces' when you edit your watch face.However if you assign them they don't show up on the apple watch.

They do not show up on the apple watch, it lists them as off/blank.

I just noticed that too. I think we need 5.1.2 for that unfortunately. I was hoping we’d get that today too

these posts are from years ago. the apple watch 4 did not include the mail/messenger complication . After the phone was updated today we are seeing the mail and messenger complication inside the iphone's watch app but if you set the complication it does not show up on the watch

Have you looked at the last couple of pages? It’s been discussed there.
