Series 4, 44mm with Cellular.
Would only get a few hours on Watch OS 7 but I re-paired before I charged to 100% and it is a lot better.

SW5 + Watch OS7 having same draining battery life problem. Today I've changed to my previous watch face and it seems to improve battery life (but more consumption than Watch OS6)

This is after the unpairing process. Amazing. This is what I wanted. Thanks for the advice, guys. 30% on 6+ hours of usage. If it goes like that I will finally have the 18 hours.

Set up my new Series 6 yesterday and have noticed a worse difference in battery life compared to my Series 4 on WatchOS 6.

I'm going to give it a day or two and see how it shakes out before I do anything.

I have a series 5 but I’m in the process of charging back up to 100% after the re-pair....fingers crossed. If this doesn’t work I will deal with it - hopefully my Series 6 will have better battery life (slated to arrive first part of October)

My battery on a Series 4 44mm SBSS has been awful since upgrading to OS7.

You shouldn’t have to unpair your watch to potentially get better performance.

Series 5 owner here.
Battery life for me on OS 7 is appalling. I can almost watch the battery percentage drop.

I'm pretty regimental with my usage pattern and typically finish a days use somewhere between 45-53 percent battery remaining.

My watch was fully charged this morning and I started wearing it around 9:30 am. Just put my watch on charge at around 10:15 pm and it was at 10 percent. On Watch OS 6 I would have had around 50 percent left at that time.

I'm hoping after a few more days or worse still a few more software updates, the battery life will return to what I was seeing on Watch OS 6.

Something makes me think it was the same last year when Watch OS 6 first dropped.

I've got an S5. My first few days on watch os 7 were terrible - possibly made worse because I kept playing with the new watch faces! Yesterday I unpaired/repaired and that seems to have done the trick. I've been wearing it for 18.5 hours now and it is at 47%. So back to normal. If you are having trouble, try the unpairing/repairing trick - it seems to help.

Wow how do you get so much usage time? I’m on 10 hours and my S5 is already on 45%... I just bought it last Friday, so the battery life shouldn’t be that bad

S5 Cellular. First full day after OS7 and i was at 3% by 8pm with very little usage. Last night I did the recommended unpair / repair and now (8:30pm) at 42% with significantly more usage today.

Another Vote for unpair/pair, getting great battery life now, better than watch os6 and even phone is holding battery longer than normal.
Definitely recommended it for people having issue in series 4/5, might not help at all on series 6 as that’s is pre installed.

Series 4

I would normally after 12 hours have 50% battery left. Today after 12 hours I had 10% left. Ouch.

I had the same issue. I spoke with Apple and they had me un-pair and re-pair my watch. Now my battery life is back to normal!

Unpaired/repaired yesterday. At 85% yesterday after 3 hours - pre repairing. At 97% after 3 hours today.

Noticed a strange icon on control centre. Looked like a a square with Wifi symbol on the corner.

After going through all settings I realised that one of my email accounts wasn't signed in on watch, even though I never use it.
Signed it in in case it was polling or something, strange symbol has gone.
Still cautious but battery life seems to have picked up too. 🤞

I’m also having a battery issue since updating; today again suddenly got a 10% warning where usually I see my watch last all day.

What do I do re the unpair > pair without messing things up, can anybody please advise?

Additionally, my walk and cycle routes aren’t appearing in the map view of the workout summary. Usually I’d see the whole route, whereas now they’re all showing as one single pin. Super annoying and presumably a bug — is anybody else experiencing this?

I had the same battery life problem with my S5 after upgrading to WatchOS 7. Looks like unpair/repair fixed it for me however now auto unlock can’t be enabled on my iMac...
