Also having issues with gestures on my Series 9. A reboot seems to resolve it and it'll last around half a day before it stops working again.

The modem version on my cellular S9 has regressed compared to the last public 26 version but I haven't noticed any performance issues.

Sending my S7 in for battery service today and praying they’re out if stock so I get an accidental upgrade and can get off the lousy watchOS 26 update that I’m stuck on forever. It made my workouts so much more annoying.
Wait, do you think AppleCare will send you an Apple Watch Series 10 or 11 as a replacement so you can upgrade from the Series 7? If they do, would you try the beta?

Are there any new brightness settings on the new OS? I just got a new AW during Prime Day and the display brightness settings are awful. I had a series 1 and series 4 that was still kicking and I just did not expect to go from a 4 to an 11 to and find it so dim indoors. I have good eyesight but the dimness is making it seem less sharp than my series 4.

I have the brightness on the max third notch but the auto-dimming is overriding it too much. Then the accessibility setting to raise the brightness is too bright.

I’m sure the new one gets way brighter in sunlight than series 4, but I don’t understand why max brightness at night is half as bright as my iPhone set to less than 1/3 brightness.
not sure but any compatible users can you check if settings/control center has changed the brightness controls for watchOS 27?

They do it when yours is out of stock. Mine is a bit of a unique “configuration” so it’s unlikely, but not impossible.

Just installed the beta (straight to beta 2) on my Series 10, and it no longer seems to be mirroring notifications from my phone (instead my phone just vibrates). Anyone else experiencing this too?

So apparently it turned out my watch just won’t connect to my phone at all after installing the beta (but it can at least connect to wifi), so I guess I need to unpair and set it up fresh?

Same on my AW3 on B2; the shake-the-wrist gesture just stops working after a day or so; a reboot is the only fix. Also having some issues with the focus mode geolocation not triggering; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Battery life is fine, but so far B2 is far worse than B1.

B1 never had any issues with any of the above at all for me; hopefully these will be fixed in B3, as B2 is a backwards step so far.

Who else has noticed the double tap feature has stopped working?

Edit: Tried @AppleForeverandEver’s tip above, and it now seems to be working (thanks, bud.)

Wrist flick on Ultra 3 is very buggy in this beta. Will work for a day , then stops & only switching watch off/on sorts. Ok for a day & then stops again.
