Posted this in another thread, but I gave my X (SG 256GB) almost two weeks to get used to it.
It's a great phone. The OLED screen is amazing and all the gestures were super intuitive and easy to learn.
It's almost like having a plus-sized screen in a non-plus size.
The key word being "almost". Take two articles in Apple News - same text size and look side by size between a X and a Plus... the plus shows more text due to the wider screen. I didn't realize it, but the width actually makes a big difference. So the whole idea of the X showing more content doesn't hold true.
At least in my line of work where I'm reading lots of emails and on the web all the time that was the deal-breaker.
The second - smaller issue - was a lot of my apps were not updated. I know that takes some time, but when the plus first came out - it took 4 - 6 months for a lot of the apps to update. But then you're only a few months away from the next upgrade cycle.
So for now... I returned my X. I'll go with a minor upgrade to a 8+ for the year and wait for the X+.
