The only thing I hope is that they remove soon the requirement for the watch to be on its charger. They don’t require the iphone and ipad to be connected to power for updating, why do they require it for the watch?
I'm gonna guess that the requirement is there because there's more at stake - if the iPad or iPhone lock up during an update, there are ways to recover it on your own. If the Apple Watch locks up during an update (like, say, from power running out), you have to send it back to Apple.

I'd like to see the restriction removed as well, but I can imagine that's why it's there. In any case, I downloaded the update directly on my watch, then went back in and it said it had to be on the charger - put it on the charger for about 5 minutes and it updated. Not a big deal (unless you don't happen to have a charger handy).

So i downloaded this update this morning for my Apple Watch Series 5 and now the watch keeps locking! Even though it's on my wrist. I've tried everything from re-pairing, updating software, wrist detection on, passcode on, wiping the sensor, turning both my apple watch and iphone on and off and it still wont work! What's weird is that i've contacted Apple Support and they're saying that this version (watchOS 6.2.5) is a Beta and not a Public Version - But i'm not a developer!

The new pride faces are included as options within the existing pride faces. Just open each of them, digital and analog, and switch the style from 2019 to 2020. Note that you have to do this on the watch unless you already have iOS 13.5 on the paired iphone. Also note that on series 3 the pride watch faces have no full screen option like they do on later models.

As for the rainbow option on other watch faces, that requires iOS 13.5 on the paired iphone and since you have the series 3, the rainbow option would only be available for you in the numerals mono and duo watch faces (gradient and california watch faces have it too, but those are exclusive to series 4 or later). I have no idea what the story is with the Nike pride watch face since I have the regular apple watch, but I bet that might require iOS 13.5 on the iphone as well.
Thank you. This is the information that should be upvoted onto the front page (upvote lartola's post not mine), instead of complaints from those who wish to turn back time.

Still I wish the watch was entirety independent of the phone, it’s my understanding that even when you download directly to the watch you have to have the phone nearby to complete the install process.
Having the phone nearby is so the Watch can use bluetooth to talk to the phone and have the phone proxy the file download. This is energy efficient (at least for the watch), but not required - the Watch can download the update directly over WiFi (I believe you can shut off your phone and still do the update). I, too, would like to see the Watch get all the way to independence - it's so close. Maybe with watchOS 14 (which will presumably be unveiled at WWDC next month).

I love that new Nike pride watch face. Is it not available to me because my Apple Watch isn't a Nike model? I ordered the Nike pride band, will the Watch somehow sense that band and make the Nike pride watch face available?
Yes, aside from the fact that some of the watch faces apparently won't surface until iOS 13.5 is released (soon?), the Nike-specific watch faces will only appear if you have the Nike version of the watch. Regardless of band. The watch has absolutely no idea what kind of band (if any) you have attached to the watch.

Maybe I misunderstand you, but the rainbow option is there for the faces, Here's the CA face
With iOS 13.4.1, the rainbow color scheme is not there - the colors go "... black, red ...", not "... black, rainbow, red ...".
Are you, perchance, running iOS 13.5?

I'm gonna use the heck out of that rainbow California face once it shows up.

Minor issue with the bottom complication, emailed dev.. he has been amazing
What is that bottom complication?

What is that bottom complication?

It's called WatchSmith

I didn't fully understand it initially, but after working with it... it is awesome, as is the Dev.

I split the year between the US and UK, my wife does the same. One of the complications is a time zone, I wanted nice big numbers, the dev made that change. I can color the hour/min independently. Also, I have it change the background of the complication for day/night view. So at a quick glance, I can see it is 11pm I switch between a 24 hour clock as well..

That rainbow California looks great; just don’t see it after updating.

That’s most likely because you updated the watch to watchOS 6.2.5 but are still running iOS 13.4.1 on the paired iphone. The rainbow option in California, gradient, numerals mono and numerals duo will show up as soon as you get to update the iphone to 13.5. In the meantime, all you get is the new versions of the pride watch faces.

Good to know, California is my every day watch face

Where are the referred to bands? The only thing “pride” about this face is the complications changing colours every time you look at it :(

Tapping or rotating the crown does nothing.

I'm on 13.5 and don't see the new Pride faces.

Edit: Scratch that, they're there

Odd. I downloaded the update, but none of the Pride faces are available, or the Pride themes to the other faces. I rebooted both watch and phone. No change. Plenty of memory on my watch, too. And it’s a Series 4. Any idea what the issue could be?

Read up the thread. Pride Analog and Digital have a year option you can set to 2020. The others require iOS 13.5.

I downloaded the update last night, and must say I can already see an improvement in battery life - I have the S4 - go for a 5k run a few times a week, with just the watch and AirPods Pro, no phone! When I get back from my run (27/28mins) it used to use around 23/25% of battery, today it only used 16/17%! Will monitor it over the next few days but it’s looking promising!

I updated and don’t have the new pride faces. As the alt-right makes subliminally homophobic comments about it, I actually welcome the new faces. I’m an open minded person and don’t discriminate on anyone just cause of their sexual orientation. There’s more important things to focus on than who’s kissing who lol.

I would have loved for a software update to actually list out what has been improved, even if they are minor bugs, but Apple is turning into the likes of Facebook, etc. that are too darn lazy to provide unique update notes with each release. Instead, it's the same boring boilerplate text every single time. So annoying. Zero respect for tech-minded users.

watchOS 7 is around the corner, Apple isn’t going to release any good updates until then.

Apple’s website still doesn’t include Saudi Arabia in the list of countries where ECG is available, and the release notes for watchOS 6.2.5 don’t mention it either. Where did that information on ECG supposedly now being supported in Saudi Arabia come from?

read up the thread, those new faces aren’t shown as new faces, they’re kind of hidden as year styles within the already existing pride faces. Also, you won’t see anything at all in the iphone app if the iphone is still running ios 13.4.1, which is currently the latest public version available, but you can still find them on the watch itself.

The information is on Apple's website, it requires iOS 13.5. https://www.apple.com/sa/newsroom/2...rt-rhythm-notification-coming-to-apple-watch/

Apple said:
The ECG app on Apple Watch Series 4 and later will be available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the next software update with iOS 13.5 and watchOS 6.2.5.

They don't list UAE as well but I was able to make it work with my Dubai bought Watch, Hong Kong bought iPhone activated on an Egyptian sim
