Same issue for my Pro Max 12 leather case. It's really annoying when the button unknowingly goes into silent mode and causes me to miss a call that is important. When I called Apple Support to complain, they claimed that they hadn't heard of this issue. I think that enough of us call in to register a complaint, they might start to issue refunds even if it is past the return period.

The new case they sent as a replacement has a same problem. One layer of double-sticky tape hasn't been enough for me.

Just saying...a dab of this at the corner(s) does wonders.
I am using what i preach.......SOLID corners now.

I've had leather cases since my iPhone 6. I just had my 12 Pro leather case pop up yesterday and again today.

that silver outline w the cases must be sweet

finally saw a silver in person today looked great
Yeah the silver is really nice this year, always stuck with silver for many years now... since iPhone 5 I think.

Also I like that I can buff out any scratches on the metal band... used cape cod on my iPhone XS before I sold it and it came up nearly perfect except for one small ding.

I’m returning mine and getting a Mujjo. The buttons will definitely be worse, but I would rather have hard to push buttons than a case that pops off every time I put it in my pocket, or worse, pops off if I drop the phone screen side down. And I don’t really want to glue it because I feel like there’s a good chance of having to destroy it to get it off if the corners are glued... despite popping corners, the case isn’t very easy to remove when you want it to come off, so glue would likely make it near impossible.

Have had my blue leather on my max since launch day corners have not slipped once. I carry it in moderately tight jeans

Same issue here. Everyone I know who has the new Apple leather case is finding this. Shame as other than this, it’s the best Apple leather case they have made.

Might return if it gets worse. What do people think is the nearest leather case equivalent that’s not too bulky?

You could keep returning until you get a solid case. My black iPhone 12 Pro case does not have this issue at all. I have a saddle brown case on the way, so I will report if it is solid or popping off after I try it out.

Yes always. I’ve tried all different types of pants shorts walking sitting no popping off at all.
Yeah, it pops off only when you put it screen facing out. For those who don’t mind screen facing in, it’s not a problem... until you drop your phone face down.

I made an account just for this and normally I wouldn’t. But my blue leather iPhone 12 pm case pops off in 3 corners. Only one that does and has a nice crisp snap is the top right closes to camera, and it has a very nice lip on it. Bought directly from apple store tonight will be going back tomorrow. Here’s the sad news after reading everyone’s comments this production date is 12/2020.

So the newest one may even be worst!

There goes our theory of them fixing it in the newer builds...

Purely anecdotal, but my corners were popping off my iPhone 12p frequently when I bought the blue leather case on prethanksgiving weekend, so I returned it for the same model the next week and have noticed it happening very rarely now. I did drop it once and 2 corners dislodged, but the case overall did not come off.

It only takes the right angle in a fall and 1 corner to dislodged to cause cosmetic or worst damage. This sucks. And, apparently, this is by design since Apple has not changed the design.
