Eh.
I own a Toyota and a Lexus. The Toyota and Lexus both get me from point A to point B and do so quite well.
I massively prefer the Lexus.
I wouldn’t get either and get myself an Lincoln at least lol but still does the same thing .

Nice try, but pointing to ‘choice’ and shouting ‘rip off’ is never going to work.
That assuming true blacks are important to the user. I have an OLED TV but can’t give rat’s a** about having OLED on my tiny phone. Can’t be bothered to watch anything significant on the tiny screen.
I am not trying to say anything. I am saying straight up that many are already outside the return period and Apple already has their money. If you aren’t beyond and choose to keep it that is what you want to do. Those beyond the 14 days no longer have the option or choice.
Everyone on this forum knew the Xr was coming so I don’t think anyone here can complain about being ripped off.Not entirely true. There’s s very telling reason why Apple didn’t release all models at once
Thats why the Xr exist for you. That assuming true blacks are important to the user. I have an OLED TV but can’t give rat’s a** about having OLED on my tiny phone. Can’t be bothered to watch anything significant on the tiny screen.
Of course it has better blacks, but most don’t find that necessary on a tiny phone. Heck, most don’t find that necessary on the tv so ppl just buy lcd since significantly cheaper.Better blacks also helps with more then videos . Oled is just better period.
Is there something actual those numbers are based on? (And even with a majority and minority in play, it still means a generic "it's better" doesn't apply to everyone nonetheless.)Better for the 99.99% the people complaining equals the 0.01%

So, again, it's not just a generic better that would apply to everyone.Lol it’s better period for the majority. Otherwise you’ll see more lcd screens in flagships which you don’t.
Precisely. Then why do you think most want to spend $1k+ on a phone? And I said most, not techies. It’s about the perceived value and most won’t see having an OLED on the phone justifies the $250+ difference in cost. Most don’t find necessary? Most people don’t want to spend $1,600 + on a tv. Once those reach under $1,000 that will tell when or if oled sells main stream or not.
So, again, it's not just a generic better that would apply to everyone.
(However, using that logic, it seems that Apple was saying LCD was better just until a year ago.)

I noticed the lack of interest, but I’m willing to bet it’ll sell more than the XS series until the next phone is released. X sold a lot because that was the only full screen phone last year. Time will tell. And yet the X sold a lot. The Note 8 sold a lot ( basically a $1k phone I paid. Around $950 for it ?) most people never buy their phones out and only see the $40 dollar lease , $40 a month finance payment charge and etc. the XS and max has outsold the XR if you want to look at how empty the stores was for the XR vs the XS.

So Apples logic was flawed for a while. That means that what manufacturers can decide can be flawed and isn't necessarily actually better. Meaning what manufactures put out there doesn't necessarily mean something one way or another (as it could have all kinds of meanings to it, down to even flawed ones).Apple logic is flawed. Jumped onto the OLED bandwagon like 4 years late. And once again OLED is factually better at everything except truer color reproduction. And for that subset you have a very small minority that might need it.

Except for those for whom it's not.Oled is bette period. End of story
Except for those for whom it's not.
Except it certainly wouldn't be inferior to those people. For maybe the 1% ? Still doesn’t mean it’s not a better display. It’s a better display with better color, blacks and viewing angles.
For those few you have the inferior screen with the XR. Problem solved
Except it certainly wouldn't be inferior to those people.
I very much doubt people who couldn’t afford an X but bought an iPhone 8 are the types of people who change their phones after just 12 months. In fact I don’t know a single person away from internet conversations who upgrade annually and that’s mainly down to people not being into mobile phones in the geekier sense. As far as the full screen goes most people don’t care except the geeks. As long as it is an iPhone and does what they want they will buy it. That being said you’ll have the people who bought the 8 and 8 plus just because it was cheaper then the X will be the ones who buy the XR. The XR will be the phone for the people who just want an Apple device and either can’t afford spending $1000 plus on a phone or just don’t care about the screen as long as it works.
"This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period."Better blacks also helps with more then videos . Oled is just better period.
