So indecisive this year! Had X, now with 8 and thinking the 8+

I thought that too as I had the 8 - which I switched (for now) for the X. And that is because I really liked the 8 (because of the "final, perfect" phone thing which I don't feel about the X)

Yeah I paid so much for my iPhone 8 which initially I felt bad about bc I got the 256gb model then taxes then AppleCare plus then a case.

But after using the phone I don’t feel bad about that bc I feel like I’ve been sold a really great product. It’s an incredible tool, it’s an incredible phone. The product itself has been “mastered” by Apple. So no regrets at all.

Any one who had the S0 / first ten Apple Watch can comment on this. The product I was sold vs the product I have today shouldn't even be considered the same thing. Yeah the S0 Apple Watch was a solid product, but my S0 with watchOS4 is SO MUCH MORE useful then the product that was shipped to me.

I’ve heard these days you don’t even need an iPhone to make calls on your Apple Watch bc you can get one with LTE!!!

I'm debating the S3 for two reasons. 1. My S0 is still so very useful. even if its a little slow to load apps. 2. I might move to japan... but breaking free from the phone is very tempting...

Hmm I would see how much it costs after selling my s0 then go from there if I had an s0 and was contemplating upgrading. I’ve never had an Apple Watch but I’m sure they’re great.

Yeah I buy phones so? I bought the 8 cause I needed another phone. The X wasn’t an option back then bc it wasn’t out. Today I saw the X was in stock via the Apple store app at my local Apple store so I got it. So what!?

And YES if they come out with a red iPhone 8 or X tomorrow you betcha I’d consider getting it. Why not?

I don't see what the big deal is. I have pretty much every model iPhone apple has put out + plus about a dozen Android devices.

The Series 3 is much faster than the first generation Apple Watch. It Just depends what you're using it for. But the real advantage is the freedom of LTE. It's nice not to have that iPhone tethered to you all the time to use the Apple Watch. More so, it's beneficial if you want to take a quick phone call or send or receive a quick text message.

You seem to forget that “old” threads jump to the front page when replied to. Not to mention that none of the threads I linked to are “old”. Some of them appeared on the first page of forum as of my reply.

No need to apologize for the hoards of people who breeze in to the forum to satisfy their immediate need for acknowledgement and recognition. They’re the spring breakers of iPhone launches, who leave the place strewn with red Solo cups of repetetive self indulgence, with an utter lack of acknowledgment and respect for a community who exists before and after their incessant disposable threads.

I was only emphasizing that the X will certainly see a lot of changes in iOS 12 and beyond as Apple observes how people use it. your "duh" statement was totally unnecessary as my comments were meant to compliment a post by another forum member

For me it was a no brainer. I have tiny hands, so anything bigger than an 8 is too big. As it is the 8 is pushing it already. I was most comfortable with a 5s. It wasn't even about the price, it was about the size. Bigger isn't always better 😉 😛.

I know plenty of people who aren’t sure about a device and after trying it for a week or so love it and keep it.

Apple has a return policy for a reason.

They want their customers to love their products and be happy and I’m sure most of the time people are.

I was a HUGE skeptic of the iPhone 6 Plus but bought it anyway bc of the return policy, and since that was the first big iPhone I wanted to give it a shot.

Guess what? Used it with JOY for a whole year.

So not everyone who is skeptical buys and return I know many who end up loving and keeping the product.

The 14 days return policy is required by law, not because  wants their customers to be happy.

Not just the UK, I’m certain it’s a EU law. I thought the USA have similar law for online purchase as well.

In the US , and I maybe wrong you can return but are hit by restocking fees ?

Most places will let you return goods, though not many will let you use them and allow returns

I had the iPhone 8, than I changed to the X and now I'm thinking to give back the X for the 8.

The reason? I have fear that in the next two or three years the iPhone X is (much) slower or laggier than the 8 (yeah with the same processor!) or that faceID works also if I don't look the screen direct... so much better. And the problem is the money remorse: 720€ for the iPhone 8 and 1149€ for the iPhone X.

I think you are overthinking this. While this concern for degradation in processing GPU power was kind of visible in the 6 plus, I don’t think I perceived it as such a big dive in performance for the two years I’ve used the iPhone 6 Plus until now. It was perfectly capable. Now with the iPhone X you will not even see that difference with the capabilities of the new A11 chip, at least for the next 3-4 years.

I don’t expect the X will be a slouch at all for this time. This is judging by how much faster the X feels after using the 6 plus!

I came from Australia to U.K. And was surprised by how good the long distance selling laws were, allowing you to return anything within 14 days by law bought online.
