I picked up my Verizon 7 plus Wednesday, until today I didn't notice this problem. I have had to do the various resets others have done as this has happened many times today. Called Verizon who told me all was well on their end to call Apple. Apple had me redo all of the steps Verizon covered. I just did the roaming settings change posted above, my data roaming was off. Not going to stress because it's an easy temp fix until a permanent fix is released.

That's technically a "soft reset". A hard reset is the "Erase All Content and Settings" option. In other words, reseting the phone to factory.
[doublepost=1475380801][/doublepost]I'm glad I came here. I'll wait another month or two before I pick up a 7.
Whatever floats your boat. Not a big deal for me since it's a simple temp fix and I get that camera now.

It was bad today, I am in Houston and was out for whole day and have see my phone jumping from lte to 3g to 1x.

i am new to the Verizon network. Recently switched over from AT&T, but I do think i get this issue sometimes. I've been stuck to 3G in areas i'm assuming are LTE equipped.

You should double check the LTE coverage rather than assume
Also maybe call and check for ANY Known or Reported network issues or outages

People complain about the ugly bands on back of the phone. Bands are gone and what suffers is poor wireless connections.

I'm not sure where or why but I can't shake the feeling there's irony somewhere in this situation lol :p

This is happening to me as well. The switch between LTE/3G is one thing, but when using Waze on a highway I frequently take I am constantly dropping service completely.

A growing number of Verizon subscribers are complaining about a serious issue that causes them to regularly lose LTE connectivity on their iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices, suggesting a major bug that needs to be resolved by either Apple or Verizon.

There are dozens of complaints from Verizon customers who have purchased either an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 7 Plus on the MacRumors forums, Reddit, and the Apple Support Communities.

Phones from other carriers may also be experiencing the same problem, as there are also complaints from some AT&T subscribers. The problem appears to be limited to Apple's newest devices, with those who have earlier iPhones not reporting connectivity issues. As described by Reddit user Kangalex:Affected customers are seeing their LTE connectivity cut out at regular intervals, leaving them stuck with 3G/1X speeds or no signal at all. This can cause calls to disconnect when VoLTE is in use in addition to interrupting data usage. Turning off VoLTE can avoid dropped calls, but it does not address the underlying problem.

There appears to be no clear fix for the issue, and customers have been complaining of being routed between Apple and Verizon with neither company offering a solution. Restarts, sim swapping, turning off HD voice, and putting the iPhone in Airplane Mode appear to resolve the issue temporarily, but it returns. Apple and Verizon have swapped out devices for some affected customers, but their new devices have the same problem.

Customers who are experiencing the issue say that the problem is exacerbated by switching between towers, as one might do when traveling in a moving car, and that it is not fixed in iOS 10.0.2 or in the iOS 10.1 beta.

One customer was told it was an Apple software issue, and according to several others, Verizon is aware of the problem and is working with Apple on a fix.

Update: While Verizon users have generated the highest number of complaints about this issue, customers on other carriers around the world have also experienced it.

[doublepost=1475525325][/doublepost]I have same issue. 128G Matte black on Verizon. I randomly look at my phone & have no service & then eventually 3G & then eventually LTE will come back. It probably happens 5 to 10 times a day. It happens in places I never had issues before & my wife if right next to me with LTE on her 6S. I am missing calls & my Waze drops out in the middle of giving me directions. It's very annoying. I missed my turn this morning when GPS went out & also missed a very important call the other day & they tried me 3 times.

i had this problem was stuck on 3g and some times i did get no service i did some debuging with vodafone her in iceland the problem was the phone did not connect to 800mhz band towers so i got the phone replaced and the problem was fixed it was just a bad modem the new phone works 100% full 4g on the new phone

Verizon finally told me that they are working with Apple and that a fix is coming. However I am also dealing with Apple and their tech team sending logs and other stuff. I ask them , they claim that they don't know about any issues and they want to continue to research. Verizon has really been no help, the phone is basically useless. I send them 20+ screen shots showing time and location of the no service and than they offered me a $20 credit. I am really thinking about going back to AT&T. I live in the DC area and generally don't think it would make a difference for me with the carrier

Talked to an apple supervisor today. He also claimed they didn't know about the issue. Long story short after running diagnostics they are sending a new phone out.

[doublepost=1475546954][/doublepost]Please fix this Apple/Verizon. My new phone goes to 3G/1X/No service at least once a day while my wife's IPhone 6s is just fine.

I've been having this issue since I received my phone on the 16th. I live in North Houston and am constantly bouncing back and forth between LTE, 3G, 1x, and no service. I am very disappointed that a fix hasn't been announced yet. I've been watching this thread waiting on some kind of an announcement or acknowledgement of the problem. I have always had great service with both Verizon and iPhones. This is very frustrating.

Yup I am getting same problem in South Houston too. The bad part is that when it looses its lte. It looses the connection with my microcell tower.

Starting last night i am starting to get better service, more bars and speed. I went from getting almost zero to 25+ mbps down. Also for the first time and am able to drive from point a to point b with no issues with waze. Possibly verizon did something on their end on the switch side that needed to be corrected? I will test today to see if consistent

I am in hopes the next iOS update will bring stability back to the baseband chip set. I am in desperate need of a new iPhone mines borked but at least holds a call.

A bandaid fix to the "No Service" issue (Disable VoLTE):

Settings/Cellular/Cellular Data Options/Enable LTE <-- "Data" // Set this to "Data" only, not Voice

This will disable VoLTE (no HD Voice and no more downloads when calling), but will resolve No Service and GPS signal issues.

this was the only thing that worked for me... it's an "okay" fix for now

I was having this issue on AT&T as well but the last two days it has been working fine. Don't know if AT&T made some kind of adjustment but it does seem to be resolved.

Any word on if 10.1 beta 2 has fixed this at all? Not sure if it might be in release notes? I'm not on the developer beta, so can't check

Nope it hasn't solved anything. Just installed the beta and still problem exists.

on the phone today with Verizon I was told they are aware of the problem and was working with Apple to resolve it. I am thinking or returning the phone till it is fixed.

Issue is not only specific to Verizon. Experiencing this issue with my 7+ through US Cellular. Have had major connection issues since I received my phone on 9/26. Signal bounces from 3g/1x/no service but no LTE. Wifes 7 has no problems at all.
